Enable admins to manually add members to waitlist
Enable administrators to manually add to the waitlist. Frequently, members who wish to enroll in an event call our office to get put on a waitlist. It would streamline our workflow process to have someone manually add to the list instead of referring someone to do it themselves on the website.

I very much support this request. It doesn't make sense for the Administrator not to be able to add members to the waitlist manually. We also have members who will volunteer to be transferred from being registered to being put on the waitlist, so Administrators should also be able to make this transfer

This is another instance where I expected this requested feature would be the normal behavior for Wild Apricot. Our staff is handling all registrations for a particular event, which means there's no way to put anyone on the waitlist, even though tickets are limited. I expected admins would have the option once all the tickets were sold. It only gives the option to oversell the event instead. There's a warning at the top of the page, so clearly WA knows all the tickets have been sold. There should be a button for "Add to Waitlist" at both the warning point, and on the main event screen when the capacity has been reached.

Would like to see the following 1) wait-list summary information be added if it isn't a major process change. Also 2) is a workaround that I discovered for this wait-list manual entry process.
1) Only minor improvement I would like to see, is adding the wait-list tally by event to the Event List Summary page. Wouldn't justify a lot of work, but would allow managing all events without having to open the event. Could replace the Tag column since that is stagnant data.
2) If an event admin email address joins the wait-list for an event (with their name) Then an Admin you can edit that Wait-list entry to change the name to the desired person with their email address and signup date. We only capture name and email address. If you capture a lot more data it would be a hassle. -

WAIT LIST MANAGEMENT
======================
Yes this would be a help - frequently wait list movements are somewhat political and being able fully to manage the wait list would clean up some issues that naturally arise when an event attendance request is rejected.
Thank you. -

I completely agree with all the other commenters. It is a common problem in our office that we cannot assist our clients and than to have to ask them to put themselves on the waitlist which is inexcusable!

Yes, entirely agree. Please allow administrators to manually push wanting guests onto the waitlist. As of now, to do anything of such, I am either:
1) having to forego the individual's password, create an admin password for the contact or member, then manually place them on the waitlist as if i'd logged in as them
2) or, without doing so, i'm left with no other choice than to add them to the guestlist, which increases my cap, which is not allowed at the venuein addition, PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW TO STOP A WAITLIST OR SET A WAITLIST CAP? I need a waitlist, but not indefinitely... the waitlist needs a limit

Some of our members are requesting our Admin to sign them up for Events - using the website is a challenge for them. Whilst we can do manual registration for them, it is not possible to manually add them to a waitlist. It is not possible to ask such users to perform the (more complicated) process of adding themselves to a waitlist, and it is difficult to explain why we can add them to an Event but we can't add them to a waitlist. Thanks for considering this functionality request.

Totally agree - it would be really helpful as an admin to be able to add people to a waitlist.

This would be a tremendous to us as well. There are people who won't use the website and I need to be able to add them to the wait list.
Thank you,

We would also love to be able to do this

We have a number of members who cannot or prefer not to register online. Our admin staff takes care of those registrations.

Really a critical to smooth operations. At this point I have to humbly ask my clients to register themselves - feels very inefficient and is inconvenient for them.
