  1. Revising bundle membership functionality

    About a year ago we have created functionality which was originally called 'Group membership' and later has been renamed into 'Bundle membership' (See http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Membership+bundles ). Our goal behind this functionality was to make it easy to deal with multi-person memberships (typically sold as a package, a 'bundle'):
    * corporate membership
    * sports team
    * family/household

    In a nutshell, for a given membership level you specify that it is a 'Bundle' (limited to NN members per bundle or unlimited). Person applying for membership becomes administrator and can later add members to his bundle at no additional charge.

    This suggestion has accumulated many votes over a year and is on of top 3 in “Members” category, so this year we started the analysis of it.

    During analysis, we’ve processed all the comments here. And we concluded that while all of them are related to bundle membership problem, there are different cases. We know that we cannot address all the cases at once, we need to prioritize.

    So, we have classified the comments and found either existing topics in the Wishlist or created new ones. Here is the full list of the topics that cover in full all the comments provided here:

  2. Automatically change a "Lapsed" membership status to "Active" when we record a membership payment on a member's record.

    We had some "Lapsed" members that paid their dues. The Wild Apricot system did not automatically change their membership status to "Active" when the payment was recorded. There is no place on the invoice screen that shows the members status when we manually record payments. It creates an extra step to go back to the members record to make sure it is changed to "Active"

  4. Quantity field in dynamic pricing of membership dues

    I sell variable amounts of workspace along with my monthly membership. I use dynamic pricing with radio buttons but I have to use too many buttons to get the range of variability I need.

    I suggest adding a quantity field in the dynamic pricing with the ability to make it a normal part of every months member dues. The dynamic pricing seems to be set up for selling a t-shirt or meal for occasional charges, but I need monthly dynamic pricing with quantity to be added to monthly dues.

  5. Suspended members still receiving emails and newsletters

    Why do suspended members still receive our newsletters? They also show up on current membership counts. What's up with this? Do I really have to go in and disable their email settings?

  6. Payment instructions for membership invoice

    Would really like to be able to have an invoice field specifically related to membership so that I can include information for those who want to send in a payment manually.
    In events, there is a field for information to be included on an invoice {Payment_Instructions}. Having a similar field for membership would be great.

  7. Option to disable names in the directory

    No names should show in the Directory until a name is typed in the search box. Our members do not like everyone's names appearing immediately when you open Directory.

  8. Give a choice of which Calendar year member would like to apply for.

    If someone is a member in 2014 for example (Jan 1, 2014-Dec 31, 2014). They decide not to be a member in 2015 because they decide to not attend our annual conference (which is the case with quite a few members) so they don´t renew for 2015. But our renewal notice for 2016 goes out in November and now they want to renew for 2016 so they pay for 2016 but at the end of 2015. WO applies this payment to 2015 instead of the year they want to have membership 2016. When a lapsed member renews, maybe WO could…

  9. Do not automatically update renewal date when admin changes level

    We use a separate membership level for board members (the need came up when we wanted to have a section of the web site reserved for board members and couldn't find another way to do it other than limiting a section to a specific membership level).

    When a member comes on to the board, her/his membership renewal date changes automatically to a year from the date of the change itself. This is a problem for us as the membership renewal date is independent from the board service date (one should not drive the other).

  10. Default database field item values

    When you create new database fields, particularly for radio buttons, check boxes etc. To have the ability to pick a default value. Therefore when entering a member's details the form is not entirely blank, but your most common values are already set. This would speed up the manual data entry.

  12. Restore archived members as contacts without membership

    Some of our past members would like to receive the email blasts we send out via Wild Apricot. When I try to go in and pull these past members out of archive, I am not able to make them just contacts. I am able to change their status to lapsed member, but doing so skews our membership count. Could you make a cleaner way to make past members contacts without adding them to the number of members?

  13. Search for empty date field

    I want to find the users where the date field "Birth Date" is not set to a date. Tried advanced search.

    Birth Date <is> <date not set>

    returns exactly the same data as

    Birth Date <is not> <date not set>

    I think if no date is set then it should use NULL. This would allow to test for an empty field. Is there any other way to search where the field has not been entered for date?

  15. Restrict membership to dues paying members only

    I would like to see an enhancement in the way membership forms are taken that will restrict the membership form from creating a profile if a member has submitted an application but has not yet paid their annual membership dues. The way the membership form is currently set up is that it allows a person to sign up for a membership, but does not force them to pay their dues in order to create a profile. Instead, an invoice is created and they have the option to pay or not pay. Paying dues should NOT be an option. Either they…

    The request is no longer relevant.
    There is a setting in membership level “New applications” tab called “Payment has to be received in full before membership is activated”. If it is enabled, new members do not receive any special privileges, they are just regular contacts with pending invoice.

  16. Limit number of members in a level

    We would like to suggest a feature that allows for membership to be automatically stopped at a certain number during membership renewals. For example, we can "cap" it at 25 of a certain type and it will stop accepting renewals or new members when that many have signed up.

  17. Members That Have Never Logged In

    Date field criteria for Saved Searches are too limited. Current options are:
    On or before
    Is
    On or after
    This month
    This year
    Last month
    Last year
    Is not
    Any

    I need the criteria "NULL" for a report that will yield those members who have never logged in. Our +55 community-website has many tech-challenged individuals; I want to reach out to them. But I want an easier way (other than reviewing the Email settings and log for each person) to reach out to them.

    1. Events should the option to confirm without received payment. In our case, when we organize events for members they pay for all attended meetings in the en of the month, based on monthly statement. Please see joomla extension (Ossolution Team) we used before. Simple and powerful with simple customization, register options, mailing, payments, etc.

    2. In many Clubs as our, Account is a company (who pays fees) and contact is a member. It quite surprising your system is not organized this way. For one account we can have few members. The issue is that the company can have other mailing address…

  20. meeting attendance

    Perhaps a way to do this already exists, if so please let me know. Our members can only vote at annual elections if they've attended at least 2 of the meetings in the past 12 months. Is there a way to add a meeting attendance feature so that when the vote comes around we can pull up members that would be eligible for this vote?
