Vary the dates and times of WA Webinars
I am very interested in your webinars and would like to attend them. However, they are always held on Tuesday's at 1 pm my time, when I have other committments. Have you thought about varying the time and/or the day of the week so that those with commitments on Tuesdays have an opportunity to attend, too. There is no way you can accommodate everyone's schedule, but varying the days would allow everyone to attend sometimes. The recordings are a big help.

Allow administrator to set forum subscription option for a whole class of members but allow those members to opt out if they wish.
Right now the default option for forums requires all member categories to subscribe to the forums they are interested in. We believe that the administrator should have the ability to set the default of a member category to subscribe and each member in that category would then have the option of unsubscribing from the forum or topic if they wish.

Thread quoted replies to keep them together on forum lists
Forum presentations that have quoted replies are clumsy and unsatisfying. If a reply is made to a comment using a quote, and it appears pages later, no easy way for a user to know there is an explanatory reply to be found later in subsequent pages. Quoted replies should be indented below the reply commented, or sorted to, or at least with a link on the original to see the replies. Right now, it is nearly useless to see the reply string to a comment on a topic.

Hierarchical Forum/Sub-Forum Structure
Some of our board members have requested the ability to have sub-forums. I am trying to create a workaround using Forum Summary widgets and sub-pages, but this is not as easy to navigate (or search) as a forum with a hierarchical structure. This structure seems to be a common feature of fora I have seen elsewhere. How about it?

Add ability to add custom columns (Fields) to forum topics
We have numerous forums that would benefit from having a custom icon or status in it's own column. Example is an "Items for sale" forum where we use a topic for each item and then the discussion becomes the bids and questions from the members. We would like to be able to include a "status" column in the list of topics to indicate where the item is in the inventory life cycle.

Support for Voting on Forum Posts
Similar ideas have been posted here before, see https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/34133521-thumbs-up-in-forum and https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/9904584-idea-management-voting-system-gadget. However, these presuppose the develpoment of new functionality, and the latter is evidently considered already addressed by the "Polls" feature. However, this is not the case. The polls require a fixed list of options, all of which are known in advance and determined by an administrator. What we need is exactly the voting functionality of this Wishlist forum, which is open-ended and encourages user participation. We already have two forum categories where this would be useful:

Forum responses not useful or organized
The Forum is really hard for people to use. You can't quote an original question in a response, and your response is not threaded with the original question. So a person must read through all responses to get to the one they want.
Needs better organization.

Idea to enhance forum functionality
Look into using discourse.org functionality to completely replace the forums feature. They already have options to embed a discourse instance into an existing web site for this purpose. Adopting discourse.org tech would resolve at least 25 feature requests I have reviewed today!

Allow changing the order in which sticky topics are displayed. We have quite a few in some fora, and the order they were entered in is not generally the reverse of the order in which we would like them displayed.

Connect Forums to Tapatalk
The forums cannot be easily accessed from mobile devices, and should either be able to connect to Tapatalk, or another mobile app that allows for mobile access. Or include forum access in the WildApricot Member App

Insert photo from album to Forum topic
Be able to INLINE a photo in a forum post from a users photo album(s). If it's all mostly one DB instance anyway, how hard could it be to ask for a "insert link/photo from album" that leads to a dialog to select a photo and have it display inline with the forum post. I'm sure not as simple as I suspect, but why have data in a database if we can't get to it at convenient moments, like posting a forum entry with a small photo inline..
If this is already possible, pardon the RTFM moment on my part.

forum size limit
Increase forum size limits to 100KB or more. Right now the limit is 50KB, which really limits forum posts to only text and can't include low res graphics. I would like to see the forum size limit increased or allow administrators to set the forum size limits in the settings.

Make Forum and Topic subscriptions consisten
The inconsistency of subscribing to forums vs. topics is very confusing and difficult to explain to members.
Current behavior for subscribing:
You subscribe to forum on the forum page and then go to your Profile to change frequency. When you Create a Topic you get an option to subscribe and set frequency on the new topic page and don't need to go to your profile. Why can't you do the same for the Forum?Emails:

Allow limiting of forum administration to specific admin role
Currently it appears that any level of administrator can perform administrative activities in a forum: a member or events admin, for example, can move messages between forums, delete messages, post pictures in a forum message, etc.
I feel that forum administration should only be allowed by someone with the "website" admin role.
Ideally, there needs to be a new "forum administrator" role so that trusted members can act as moderators without gaining other unrelated administrative privileges.
