An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Álvaro de Andrade Peres commentedWe are a non-profit organization involved in works of charity.
Our structure has three layers namely, National, Regional and Local. In each of these layers the executive body has basically full responsibility to run their environment with the Constitution, Laws and Code of Honour of the Order (Organization), but we are registered as one single entity in accordance to the laws of our country and need to work and report as one entity.
We need to have a way of curtailing the admin rights of a person at Local level, another at Regional Level and others at National level. The structure comprise 1 National Executive, 6 Regional Executives and 38 Local Executives. How would we be able to contain the authority of the administrator at each of these levels? The Local Executive only should have admin rights for the members of his unit, the Regional Executive should have admin rights on all members of the Local units in that Region and the Supreme Executive should have rights on all Regional and Local entities members which is already available now.
We need this separation of admin rights for the management of the membership profiles, e-mails and files stored in the file space of the systems. We are most satisfied with the system and are sure that these short falls will be addressed soon and in a most satisfying manner.

An error occurred while saving the comment Álvaro de Andrade Peres commentedWe would support and most welcome if a proper storage for agendas, minutes and meetings documents was established with a set of parameters to allow restrict access according to needs. The crude way would be to be able to assign reading rights and copying rights per individual member with a profile in the system or per group and per membership level.

Sorry for the late update.
The first step was finished and emails can now be carbon copied to contact’s alternative emails. To do so the contact fields which store the alternative emails must be explicitly marked on the email setting page.
Unsubscribing will unsubscribe all alternative emails simultaneously because they all belong to the very same account. The person clicking “unsubscribe” is warned about this on the unsubscribe page.
For now we paused the development of this feature. but not for good. :) So I’m changing this wish status back to “collecting comments”.
Thank you everyone for a valuable feedback.

Our members in general have more than one e-mail address, typically they would like to receive e-mails on at least two e-mail addresses, their personal one and the one they use for business e.g. the work e-mail address.
There are also members which would like the partner or a relative to also receive their e-mail correspondence as they are of advanced age and a relative normally take care of ensuring that they are informed by reading the received e-mail messages and telling them about the items of importance.
We will welcome this capability. -

Merged together several closely related by meaning ideas – so we can properly resolve them all together, in different live scenarios

An error occurred while saving the comment Álvaro de Andrade Peres commentedWe have the same need. We have six regions distributed throughout the country and in each of those regions we have a number of councils (equivalent to branches) and we need to limit the administration rights of each Regional Secretary to have access, creation and update rights on the membership of their region and the Council Secretary the same rights but only to the membership of his Council. Basically we need to be able to curtail administration rights for administrators at national level, regional level and local level
I believe we could have it done in two ways,
1) Each secretary could have a group of members linked to his level of administration rights or
2) Each member could be allocated to a secretary (An administrator) with full rights or partial rights to create and update the profiles of those members. It would require allowance for for a member's information to be accessed, changed etc. by more then one secretary (Administrator).

Even though it is not a direct implementation, I hope this could be helpful:
We just launched integration with Integromat platform, which helps to build automated workflows. We also provide several templates for quick start, and one of them allows to copy google calendar events into WA events. So if you share a google calendar for events submission, then the scenario could copy submitted events into your Wild Apricot account.
You can try this integration by this link https://www.integromat.com/en/integration/2275-copy-google-calendar-into-wild-apricot-eventsÁlvaro de Andrade Peres supported this idea ·
I just posted a comment but have another one which is also related to the curtailing of administrators rights: the "export" facility has for us legal implications. The laws of this country (South Africa) in relation to private information are quite stringent and further laws are being legislated and should be in place in June of 2018. It is already illegal for us to allow members of our organization to "export" contents from the database to an external file in whatever format. In order to compile reports we have to export the result of searchs, which means that the data is available in a spreadsheet or other formats and can be manipulated and/or distributed and this constitutes a contravention of the Protection of Private Information Act (usually referred to as POPI Act). In order for us to make our reporting compliant, we need to restrict the use of the export function to only registered and authorized officers and the number has to be very limited.
If we give any level of admin rights, now, to any member of the organization it gives immediate access to the "export" function unrestricted. How can be exclude members with admin rights to use the export function or only allow specific conditions?
