Registering families / bundles for events
I've really had to finagle the system to make it possible for us to have an event to which children are likely to attend with their parents. At present, we have the ability to have guest registrations at a different rate, or guest registrations at the same rate, or the ability to have everyone register separately. What's needed is to have the cardholder be able to register everyone according to whatever rate they should get. For example:
Adult at 10, Children at 5. Right now the system can handle two adults, or two children being registered at once. The system can also handle 1 adult and many children being registered. The system cannot handle 3 adults and two children.

It's conference season coming up in the fall and as usual, after over 12 years, Wild Apricot still has not fix to this...shame on you, Wild Apricot! I wonder if AI will do the trick!

We use bundles for family memberships. I expect that this is a fairly common use case. Right now it is not easy for a bundle member or administrator to register for an event for some or all bundle members.
For a ticket type which is only accessible to bundle members could we please just have a simple interface which presents bundle member names and the administrator just ticks the boxes for those attending?
Right now the only way I know of to accomplish this is time consuming, error prone and counterintuitive. I attach the "how to" that I wrote for our members but it is clear to me that they should not have to go through this!

Like many have said, there needs to be an option for selecting individuals within the bundle for event registration. Eg a check box that can be selected for one or multiple members for event registration.
This request has been sitting on this forum for 12 years now - yes, 12 YEARS! -

Our club has multiple bundles where the members (spouses with one exception where there are 4 members) SHARE a SINGLE Email Address. Need an option on event registration to allow the bundle administrator to be able to select which members of the bundle to register for a specific event rather than having to go through the process to add additional bundle members as guests. Need a check box that allows registration for
--> A single bundle member
--> Multiple bundle members
--> ALL bundle members -

C'mon WA developers... this wishlist item has been in the queue for over 10 years. A single member of a bundle not being able to register other bundle members for an event is one of the bigger complaints for our members.

We are a social club with most members being couples, therefore we are using the bundle relationships to pair household members. It is really tedious for members to have to register for events independently, especially with costed events where they end up with 2 emailed invoices. We tried using guest but some of our events allow members to bring guests who are charged a different fee. Ideally we'd like the ability for the one bundle member to initiate the registration and select 'Add the following members from my bundle' to this event. Sounds simple, how hard would this be to create?
Or is there another way for us to accomplish this? -

Agree with the other comments here that we need to be able to have the bundle administrator select other bundle members to register for an event. If all family members are part of the bundle, then they are considered members of our club. But typically one person purchases the tickets, and it is confusing to them to have to purchase “guest” tickets for people who are members. We are forever having to correct registration errors because of this.

We need this for membership bundles representing companies were they want to register a team for a corporate event

Any member of a bundle should be able to include others in same bundle when registering for an event.

When registering for an event, it would be nice to be able to select (checkbox) which people will be attending by using name fields from the member database. We have a structure where a membership is a "family" and there are multiple names listed in the database under the membership. It would be nice to be able to register for an event and just check the box next to which people will be coming.

We are a new Wild Apricot user (actually still in the deployment phase). One of our issues with the old system we were using had to do with limitations on the handling of Family Memberships ("bundles" as WA calls them). Now we just stumbled across this issue.
I called WA tech support, and they confirmed that there is no convenient way to handle registering families / bundles for events. We have shared this with our membership, and they are obviously not pleased.
Any idea when this might be improved so it can be handled in a more convenient manner? Just to be clear, we are looking for the OPTION to allow Bundle Administrators to register all members in their bundle as part of a single registration process. We recognize that there may be times where we might want each individual member to register separately, so that is why we think this should be an option.

This item is now 9 years old. When will we get the ability to have more than one default ticket type for "guest" registrants?
There are lots of instances where the same order needs to have the ability to select ticket type and price for each individual. E.g. 2 adults + 1 child; 2 members + 1 non-member; 2 gold tickets + 1 silver ticket; 2 3-day passes + 1 2-day pass; 2 adults + 1 senior, etc.

While the biggest improvement would for bundle owners to be able to add their bundle members to events, the next stage would be to add previous guests as often people invite the same friends.

I’m waiting for the “smart feature” that will allow me to quickly register for an event for either one or both of us (on the same bundled membership) since I’m logged in and it knows who my spouse/partner and I are, with one radio button for me and another for us, and a fill-in field for the infrequent non-member guest.

Due to the GDPR legislation, we think it is necessary to capture 'consent' for certain activities for guests attending events. therefore, we need to use the option 'add all guests to contact list' so that we have a record of their consent. However, if the 'guest' is already member, WA will still create a new contact record for every event that the guest is registered for. This creates a significant 'merge' overhead for administrators to merge these unwanted event generated contact records back into the member record.
What is really needed is for a bundle administrator to be able to invite bundle members as guests to an event and this would pull in the bundle members details including their consents. -
The ability to add bundle members to an event using UserID. Each time a bundle administrator is adding their member (if no email address is provided), a new contact record is created.
Not all members have an email address (email address is not mandatory), but it's a pain to merge duplicate records, to record a bundle member's participation in an event.

I also need this feature. Would be great if you could register multiple bundle members at one rate and add Guests at different rate. All on one order.
My workaround, create a Registration type at $0.
Then add a "Extra Charge Calculation" field with the membership price at $20 and another with the guest price at $25 plus Kids field at $10.At the end of it all, the calculation is made and correct funds are collected.
The down side, we can't limit the number of registrants as calculated fields don't count towards attendees.

Well, guess I'll add to the multi-year discussion - When adding a registrant for an event, a way to name a group vice having to add each individual in the group would be greatly beneficial to us. For example, an event would be a Board meeting for the Board of Directors. The system could pull the members of the group to add as registrants. That would then prevent the need to make a change in two places as members of the group change - like keeping an email list for the group up to date.

This wishlist item is 8 years old. Any progress?
This isn't the only thread that mentions this issue about needing multiple ticket types on the same order (e.g. 2+ members & 1+ guest; 2+ adults & 1+ children; etc.)

Our organization really needs this to be implemented. Our folks often book as a group with one person doing the ordering, and they want to register both members and non-members on the same order. We charge a different amount for members and non-members, and WA makes these kind of group bookings impossible. The "guests" can either be the same rate as person doing the booking, or a uniform different rate; either way, you cannot get a combo of 2+ members and 1+ non-members on the same order.
