Membership Trends Reporting
Retaining your membership is important to your organization. While Wild Apricot gives you the ability to do automatic renewals and send out reminders for non-automatic renewals, some have suggested that it would be handy to be able to report on this.
Suggested
Create the ability for administrators to be able to run reports on renewal rates for members.
The important thing for this is that we identify what information should be in the reports. At first blush, I can imagine:
* In a year, how many renewals were done before the renewal date, on the renewal date, and then certain days after renewal date (5 days after, 30 days after etc). This could be set up so that it gets the dates from the reminders that you've set up on your membership level.
* Attrition - How many members within a certain time period have not renewed or have been archived .
I'd love to hear what other information about your members renewal/membership status you'd like to be able to track and analyze.
Membership trends report is available now. You can compare how your membership base changes over time and how it affects the organization’s revenue.
Historical data is available from the beginning of 2020.
See this help article for details https://gethelp.wildapricot.com/en/articles/1718
More reports will follow.
For any changes in reporting, please create a separate topic.

This would help out immensely!

How long will it be before this feature is enabled. It's the main reason why we purchased this platform. Would love to see this before the end of 2018.

This will be a requirement for us in the very near future if we are to continue using WA as our membership management provider.

I'd love this too. The ability to automatically send out the results of a saved search on a regular basis would be great. For example:
1)
Select saved search (or specify new parameters)2)
Select recurrence (i.e. Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Annually / specific days of the week etc)3)
Select report format4)
Select contacts / members or addresses to send it to5)

We need the ability to look at membership trend reports from one year to the next. Please add this feature.

Please! It would be a great feature to share with our Boards

The ability to track membership numbers from various time points should be a no brainer for a MEMBERSHIP service... (insert eye roll here) Come on Apricots from the Wild!

Please, please, please add some features that allow us to look at historical data about our memberships. It's vital to be able to analyze what trends are, what works, how long are members staying - in every category. Have they taken classes? We desperately need historical data!!! I'm happy to talk to someone about this. Thank you, Carla Mackey, BARN Membership Coordinator 206-842-4475 ext.202 or membership@bainbridgebarn.org

This would be great. If Admins can set up an autogenerate report to go to specific people or a list of back end users, that'd be great! For example, we have chapters around the world and rather than have to go in every month to generate separate reports then email all separately, i'd like to be able to tell WA, "email this group or person this member report on a monthly basis". then done!

This would be useful for finding out who has been a member since a specific timeframe. Possible use would be to qualify members for voting or see how long members have been continuously active.

We need a simple option in Custom Reports that allows us to input an arbitrary date. EX- July 1 (any year) plus active membership. To see your numbers/list for any year at any time.
Thank you. -

I am appalled that I cannot generate a report that allows me to compare monthly and yearly membership growth. I must have this type of report to present to my board, and to have a successful membership drive.
this is ridiculous

We have many people who join for one year and then never renew their membership. It would be very helpful if I could provide trend data on memberships: for example, how many people joined in 2015 and renewed in 2016 but not 2017 or 2018? How many joined in 2015 and never renewed their memberships? At present, since I have to aggressively archive lapsed members (because there are so many people joining for one year and then never renewing), I can't get any sense of this information. Thanks!

We need to be able to look back at last years/months numbers and see how we have grown or how memberships are falling short...
We want to know how many members we had.. on x date.. and have a snap shot and a report...

It would be helpful to have access to historical membership numbers. I'm trying to analyze our growth . I understand that membership is a fluid number, but I'd really like to be able to see a snap shot in time for the number of active members we had in the past, both in total and by category.

In addition to other requests, we'd like to know how many and which types of events each member attended, and analyze events by registration type.

We need more report functionality within our membership lists. It would be very useful to (easily) query how many new members in a certain time span, how many renewals, etc.

This needs to include past members who are currently archived. When I try to retrieve info, it only looks at current members.

We have fully implemented the audit log feature into the Excel dashboard we have been working on. You can now export all audit log details which enables reporting around membership renewals.
There is a limit of 200 API requests per minute and the dashboard currently is calibrated to work at about 180 or so requests per minute. Retrieving 2000 records takes roughly 10 minutes.
