Membership Trends Reporting
Retaining your membership is important to your organization. While Wild Apricot gives you the ability to do automatic renewals and send out reminders for non-automatic renewals, some have suggested that it would be handy to be able to report on this.
Suggested
Create the ability for administrators to be able to run reports on renewal rates for members.
The important thing for this is that we identify what information should be in the reports. At first blush, I can imagine:
* In a year, how many renewals were done before the renewal date, on the renewal date, and then certain days after renewal date (5 days after, 30 days after etc). This could be set up so that it gets the dates from the reminders that you've set up on your membership level.
* Attrition - How many members within a certain time period have not renewed or have been archived .
I'd love to hear what other information about your members renewal/membership status you'd like to be able to track and analyze.
Membership trends report is available now. You can compare how your membership base changes over time and how it affects the organization’s revenue.
Historical data is available from the beginning of 2020.
See this help article for details https://gethelp.wildapricot.com/en/articles/1718
More reports will follow.
For any changes in reporting, please create a separate topic.

There should be a report for Membership retention.

NewPath Consulting has launched v1.0 of our Google Data Studio community connector for Wild Apricot. It is called Wild Apricot Reports Manager. The reporting functionality you all seek is best done outside of Wild Apricot using the Wild Apricot API. Please visit https://www.newpathconsulting.com/warm for more details.

In Feb it was stated "Membership trends is in active phase of development right now and will be released later this year"
Please post when this will be available in 2019. -

This has been an open issue / feature request now for OVER 9 YEARS! When are you going to implement it? There's only a few months left in the year.... a status update once in awhile would be nice for your customers.

Is there an update on when the release for membership reporting will be?

I think it would be helpful to generate a report that shows membership numbers at a certain time every month, so we can analyze trends.
- Do some months of the year attract more new members?
- When is the most popular month to quit?
- How long does the average monthly members remain active.
- A snapshot of the membership summary retained for analysis, if not automatically every day, maybe once a week or at least once a month. -

I'd like to be able to search how many members we had on a particular day. I do our membership reports mid-month and would like to see how many members we had at the end of last month.

A report that shows members who have joined/renewed with a specific time period is needed?

I also need to know how many members we had at each level in a given year, plus be able to tell for a specific member what years that person was a member (paid dues). This is one example of only maintaining current data values that has given us problems in other areas--for example, we have to use workarounds to maintain historical data on journal subscriptions and additional donations (completed during the membership registration or renewal process), because each year, the new information overwrites the old information.

The inability to pull a report on members to compare our growth is important in any membership organization. We are an association management company and only one of our clients uses WildApricot. On other membership platforms we use we have this ability.
Are you kidding me you don't see the need for this information in a membership management system???? -

I would like to be able to pull a report for membership on a certain day in history - I want to be able to pull a list of members that were members on Jan 1 2019.

I guess it's nice to know I'm not alone. In an effort to start planning more strategic membership recruitment, I spent a lot of time on the Wild Apricot site looking for analytic capabilities. What a surprise to realize there are none, which seems very strange given the amount of data that is being collected and archived. Please consider this a strong vote in favor of developing useful analytics as part of the Wild Apricot package.

We've been an active user of Wild Apricot for over 8 years. The lack of any type of membership reporting is driving us to consider other membership platforms. (That and the new outrageous fee they want to charge monthly for not using their payment processor.) WA has really taken a hit in its ability to provide the features users actually need to be effective for their small non-profit organizations.

Hi Steve,
So whenever a member renews (or any other change is made to the contact/member record) if you use the new Integromat integration your flow can monitor for any contact changes in your WA DB. While this module only returns limited data - it does return the contact ID. This can then be used with the get contact details module in Integromat. From that module you can extract whatever fields your want and then write them to a Google Docs sheet.
You can then sort or select whatever data you are interested from the Google Docs sheet.

We just signed up for Wild Apricot and during configuration realized that they have zero historical membership tracking data. Wow! As some have already commented, this seems to be at least a seven year old request. Unless we can find a work-around, I will be cancelling the subscription. We were trying to move off of Abila (which is ridiculously expensive and full of bugs). The inability to run a membership status report as of a specific date (i.e. monthly, quarterly, year-end, etc.) is mind-boggling. As some have said - membership 101. Get a clue Wild Apricot.

As an organization that uses the Calendar year for our membership term, it is important to be able to identify those members are active as of the day the report is ran, but does not include members who have prepaid for next year and weren't active as of the report. Our membership has voting privileges associated with their active membership, and we need to be able to identify these individuals. Tim K.

I'd like to see a graph of the number of members I had as of the first of the month, each month going back servarl years.
