Classifieds gadget (i.e. Job Board )
Blogs or forums are repurposed to serve as classified ads/job boards, however they have serious limitations that prohibit them from being suitable solutions.
Self-service (e.g. searchable, browseable) classified ads system for members and visitors, with administration tools to moderate and manage entries/permissions.

I found this WA theme in my search and it looks like it has the start of a Job Board function - https://mergetheme.wildapricot.org/Job-Board
I see this site is by Merge Creative, is it possible to pay for their Job Board function/theme and run it on our WA site?
Also, I read that WA integrates with WordPress with a plugin. Is it possible to have a subsite on our WA site that leads to a WordPress job board?

If there is no Job Board project in sight could we just have a blog function to hide/archive posts automatically after a specific date, with a manual override?
I think a single solution could address both this idea and the subdatabase idea:
Support for a generic list that allows for:
- custom fields (like the contact/member fields, and a rich-text type field like blog post content)
- configurable permissions (who can submit, who can view, and if admin-approval is needed)
- display widget with search/sort/filter functionality and configurable fields
This is not unlike the base functionality behind Sharepoint lists.
Not working, that’s correct.
Just so my understanding is clear...Wild Apricot is not working on a solution to allow the Blog gadget to be used to create a job board. Is that correct?
Jenni, I understand it sees unfair and your expectation were different. So were ours, but situation changed and we had to adjust our plans.
I was told at WorldatWork Conference in May by Wildapricot sponsor that Classified was being worked on and forecasted to finish by year-end. Now we are told that this is not being worked on...that's not cool response WildApricot Product Mgr!
As of now, we do not have plans to work on this in 2018.
I would like to see this progressed. It's a) great member benefit, a good way to remain engaged and active within a community, can lead new prospects to your website and your overall value proposition. Can I understand how far down or up the list this may be?

what about a classifieds section?

A Job post module which would allow the person purchasing the post to fill in all of the detail for the post. The admin would receive notification of the post for approval before the post goes live on the web. The posts should auto remove after a set number of days such as 30 days or 60 days. The admin should be able to pre-set the fees for posts determined by the type of member/non-member.

This is a very important function for membership groups. Job posting is but one way that this system could help generate revenue to support groups.
Please add a job posting function with the ability for the poster to enter their own discreet data fields and pay us for the posting. Our current blog work-around is labor intensive and complicated and it provides significant revenue to our association.
Need a job board component!!! I see a bunch of others here who find it to be a need. This could make or break my association moving forward if there isn't something in place
That's because there have been no progress so far.
So what's happening with this idea of a Job Board gadget? I see lots of requests for it dating back to 2015 but no response or action from WA...
We are an association of real estate Investors who have Properties for sale. This function could work to list Featured Properties. A form allowing Members to upload their own Properties would be great if it required certain fields and allowed for multiple pictures.

We would love to explore the idea of having a jobs page. This is a good way to build rapport among other organizations as well as earn income (if we choose to charge for posting jobs). Do you see this as an option in future software upgrades? Thanks!
Would be ideal to have a form to assure sufficient information is collected for each help wanted or job wanted.
For help wanted, should include:
* Job title
* Company name
* Job location
* Respond by date
* Contact name and phone and/or email.
* Job description (Perhaps split between Job responsibilities and Job Qualifications)
and optional Salary range
For Job wanted, should include:
* Contact phone and/or email
* Position type sought
optional salary range
