I merged another very similar thread into this one, they should be solved together – the registration to multiple events should be simple and fast if possible. There are a number of suggestions in comments on how to achieve this.

I too would love to have the option to cancel with refund (full or partial) or without refund. While creating a separate invoice to absorb the refund amount from the contacts account works, it makes things rather messy when exporting records to QuickBooks.

I know this is an old thread, but I am new user who has just stumbled into this same problem. I just wanted to add my 'me too' and see if there has been any movement on this since the thread stalled.
P.S. I've never posted before, so I hope I am doing this in the right place.
Like the other posters, we have different people handling different functions in our system (membership, event registration, finances etc), each with their own roll based email. Having emails pertaining to those areas send from (and reply to) those roll based emails would both make management easier and prevent important messages from getting lost in manual redirection.
