We're considering to take Donations during registrations/applications into development right now, but during analysis of the feature we ran into an issue where we would love to hear your feedback.
Essense of question: how would you like donations during applications or registration to be processed for offline payments (when your member/prospect decided to get an invoice and pay later)?
Some more details:
We can implement donations during event registrations/membership renewals for online payments - not a problem.
But when we're talking about offline payments, straighforward solution seems to be a bit expensive - we don't have invoices for donations or pledges yet.
So right now we're considering going on with straighforward online payments solution (donation will be added to payment transaction) and for offline payments - just include an invoice memo to buyer to add $XXX to his payment as donation for event/membership he has selected.
This way administrators would…

Could you please describe integration scenario you would like to implement?
An error occurred while saving the comment Monroe Mann commentedIf each of the six core "widgets" of Basecamp could be incorporated as "gadgets" for WA, it would be AMAZING.
BASECAMP just told me they are allowing API development for integrations.
For example: Basecamp allows for individual messaging between members; the coolest thing ever: automatic reminders and check ins to members, e.g. Every Monday send out the following checkin, "What are you working on this week?" Or "What book are you reading now?" These two functions alone could augment the power of Wild Apricot sites.
Right now, I use Wild Apricot but also use Basecamp, and it would be great if I could use Basecamp on my WildApricot site. Even if you just created a Basecamp API that allowed me to embed the entire Basecamp site into my WA site, that would be cool. But best case would be a way to match the WA username and password with Basecamp so it's a seamless login.
I doubt many people will support this idea because I am the only Basecamp user who uses it for social networking on a scale larger than small groups. But even Basecamp acknowledges that my use of Basecamp is pretty awesome. And it does things that brings people together and engages them more than WA does.
Thanks!

Even though it is not a direct implementation, I hope this could be helpful:
We just launched integration with Integromat platform, which helps to build automated workflows. We also provide several templates for quick start, and one of them allows to copy google calendar events into WA events. So if you share a google calendar for events submission, then the scenario could copy submitted events into your Wild Apricot account.
You can try this integration by this link https://www.integromat.com/en/integration/2275-copy-google-calendar-into-wild-apricot-eventsAn error occurred while saving the comment Monroe Mann commentedWhile I hate Meetup, they do have one thing going for them: they allow the event creator to designate an event host from the membership roster. This event host is listed as the first person attending the event (so there is never an 'empty' event listed). This host then has the ability to interact with that particular event, and this person becomes the contact person for the event.
Usually, I would choose myself as the host, and I'd choose a member as the event co-host. When I had many different events, it made my life a lot easier.
The only way to do this now is to manually add someone to the event, and manually write that this person is the event host in the event details. But members should, at a glance, be able to know who the event host is. And it should be a lot easier for admin's to designate this host.
Thanks.

This is an interesting idea. We’d love to hear more comments and suggestions. Also if other notifications are preferred (e.g. twitter, facebook, sms, etc)

An error occurred while saving the comment Monroe Mann commentedI agree. The 'quickbooks' and 'exporting' and 'accounting' features are all essentially useless because I have to do all of the event expenses on paper. I want to export an entire picture of how much profit I made. And the 'monthly WA' fee AND the paypal credit card fee should be included automatically in the expenses.

This is ABSOLUTELY necessary. Here's why:
a) every web host offers webmail. It's weird that you don't.
b) our branded URL is linked to our wild apricot site. But there is no email. So in order for the staff and board to have email, we have to somehow go through another company, which is very weird.
Thanks in advance for adding this asap!
