Create and send a pdf of the invoice
We are getting requests from event attendees for a pdf or a hardcopy of the invoice as organisations won't accept an email as an official invoice
thanks derek
We have released the functionality of directly getting PDF of financial documents (Invoices, Donation receipts) in recent 8.10 release. As of now it's just a PDF of email, but we plan to make it separate customizable document in future versions.

We have issues with a number corporate members whose policies require a PDF version fitting the page neatly so it appears as a legitimate invoice. At the moment we have to produce and email them manually.

This issue is making us look unprofessional. We have resorted to including notes on our invoices on how to print a pdf from the browser. Needs to be fixed asap.

one more thing - this might be a deal breaker for us.... will it be for anyone else, if so, it might push this to the top of the list.

I am desperate (or my members are) to have this feature

Please, please, please make invoices .pdf. So many of our members use purchasing systems that all require pdf's. Come on Wild Apricot - you're a bit behind the times here!
Also, the 'View online" option is hopeless as the tax number drops off and not all the information is displayed.

This feature is really needed quickly, The Canadian Revenue Agency will not accept email receipts as proof of charitable donations from my donors.

This facility would be extremely useful as it is a requirement of many of the organisations we work with.

This is one of the hottest topics for us, and we will try to fix this later this year. But no promises yet - we are prettey busy with othere features coming.

Dear Wild Apricot Support,
Can you please introduce an option where invoices be converted to a PDF and added as an attachment to the emails that are dispatched automatically regarding invoices? Some of our clients have advised that an embedded invoice into an email is not good enough to pay on.
This is required by our biggest payer, our state government. As a consequence, our admin has to double handle over 1000 invoices.... Wordpress has this worked out quite nicely. This was promised last year.
This is really urgent for us.

No updates by this moment.
The only thing I can suggest as a workaround is using Word Mail Merge feature, based on invoice export, but it has some limitations (e.g. line-items not available in export).Oleg from Payments team

Some of our clients have advised that an embedded invoice into an email would not suffice as a valid support.
As a result, we export the invoices from Wild Apricot to Word, format them and then covert to a PDF document. However, this is time consuming. Thanks!!!!

Any update on this? We are having a huge issue with this for two reasons: 1) Many government organizations will not accept web printed invoices; and 2) Most of the time people are not print the entire invoice - everything won't appear on one sheet of paper.
Basically our board is discussing changing membership software because it's becoming such a hassle. We are having to create invoices in Word for people, which is wasting a lot of time and the whole point of using this system. -

I absonlutely agree with this. This has been a headache with our events. Sometimes people get an emailed invoice and don't see it, or it's caught in spam. So they view it online, but it doesn't have any info except what to pay. No Vendor, no mailing instructions (if mailing payment). So the end result is that we have to go in manually and re-email an invoice, and hope it goes through.
I think that the "View Invoice" should look just like the invoice that is emailed out. The current format is limited, and results in more work for the administrator to re-send out the emailed invoice.
I would put this as a HIGH PRIORITY. All views of the invoices should look the same.

I think this must be a universal issue for most organizations. Majority of clients are OK with email invoice but some clients still want PDF hardcopy. So please integrate this if possible WA.

I would like to add my voice to this list. I need to be able to present soft-copy storeable finance documents to our members, especially invoices in Australian tax invoice format. I have amended the invoice email template and that will work for some members, but not all.

Our clients also have the need for a PDF version of their invoices, either to be included in automatically sent invoice emails, also to be able to download a pdf copy of their invoice when they are logged in to their member profile. This is a huge obstacle in not being able to offer this facility, it is not really a nice to have option, more of a professional necessity. Are there any updates on when this might be implemented?

I frequently receive complaints that the invoices don't print well and a lot of accounts departments require pdf's now. This would be a fantastic addition to your product!

Most of our members require PDFs of their tax invoices and payment receipts and I've received numerous complaints that they are not sent in this format or downloadable from the website. Would be great to automatically attach PDF copies to these emails, or have the option for invoices and receipts to be downloaded from the website.

We are also getting frequent requests for Invoices as PDFs. In our association the members are businesses and need to submit the invoices to an accounts department.
