Allow members and/or conference registrants to upload file attachments - like abstract submission
Our academic society would find it extremely useful if members -- or better yet, conference registrants -- could upload files (e.g., Word docs, PDFs). This would allow presenters at the conference to share papers prior to the conference, potentially enhancing the feedback that they would get from other conference-goers. We would really like to provide this service for our members/conference attendees.
Dear supporters,
With the new release 6.18 version, we added the ability to create File attachments field for Common and Membership forms.
So now, you can collect documents/images from your members, subscribers, registrants. Members can share their documents with others via Public profile. You can upload files and download files right in contact, member or registration details.
If you have any ideas, requests how we can improve this new functionality, please share it with us.
More about this and other updates in our release notes: https://gethelp.wildapricot.com/en/articles/1665
Thank you for your support and have a good day!

Hi There,
We are currently evaluating Wild Apricot for our new company program as well. The document upload facility is something we will need as well and will factor into our decision as to whether or not to adopt WA. We would need the functionality as outlined by Roberta in April where we could "upload files (.doc, .pdf) regarding important information regarding a member directly to their profile. The information would not be shared with other members, but would be available as a more effective records management system for company administrators." -

I haven't read this entire thread, so this may be a duplicate, but we would like members to be able to upload files that will then appear with their profile. For example: Member is an insurance agent and wants to include an application for insurance as part of their public profile page. That application is a PDF and the member needs to be able to upload it as well as remove it on their own.

Add a spot on the Contact detail or Membership where applications can be uploaded and saved

For members to be able to upload documents e.g. PDFs. We need members to demonstrate proof of current 3rd party insurance

Gerry, basically no progress. Until we take this suggestion into development, I cannot say about limitations like file size. I have added our Events Team into this thread, so they may comment here.

Hey Evgeny how are we doing now since your last post on this item? my not-for-profit would love this item also. Can you estimate what the size of the Upload might end up being in terms of file size? Some other sites I use have limits what would yours be...any thoughts on this? would be ideal to by about 20MB min. is that crazy?

Sorry, we don't usually provide time estimates. But in this case I can tell that no, it won't be added in few weeks.

I am evaluating your product and will need to make decision over next few days. Unless there is a way to upload file to a member profile, I will need to find another vendor. Could you please advise if this functionality will be available in the near future (few weeks from now) or not. Thanks!

Note that what am thinking about could be modified from a more general custom forms builder.

This would be a very useful feature for any society that has a conference of talks from submitted abstracts. In addition to the fields suggested above, the addition of radio button fields would be useful. These could then be set up for session choice, talk/poster presentation, etc.
While on-line abstract review would be great, an intermediate that would allow download of an excel spreadsheet would also work.

Has this been resolved? It seems as of 10/29/15, it's "still being worked on." We are a non-profit theatre alliance that would love for members to be able to upload searchable resumes, either in PDF or Word. Alternately, allowing a form that gives members the ability to fill out their resumes line by line, so that the format is exactly the same for each actor/technician.

The workshop submission form would be used for presenters who would like to submit a workshop or class. It would need to have fields for them to describe their class and possibly upload a synopsis of their class. Once accepted the workshop/class would display in a grid that the admin can lay out for date and time of the class along with a brief description and bio of the presenter. This would make sending out information for the events we hold much easier.

I really need the ability to upload documents into the member profiles. Example: pdf documents which would be the membership application and resume signed by our member.

Hi Scott, I hear you. Dealing with something else now but will come back to this as soon as we can.

This features has been under discussion for 7 years according to the notes on this and one other like topic. A design was done months ago and it was in the 2015 roadmap at one point now it's nowhere. WA seems to be chirping crickets on this one. There are several people including myself that have been asking when this feature will be released. No response. Forgive me for my frustration, buuuut, come on gang - what's up with this? This is the one feature that our art society, and many other orgs dearly need. These Societies spend thousands each year for jurying sites for the art competitions. Those dollars could be going to WA. As Doug Floer wrote on October 6, 2015 "When will this feature be made available? This has been a show-stopper in our becoming WA customers". Yes, WA is doing great work in a lot of areas but this is the ONE thing that is key for our art society to grow our membership. Our business revolves around these juried competitions. We need a way to integrate and manage hundreds of entries _with_ image uploads because it is the primary way that we come in contact with non-members. How do we, WA customers, help you to raise the priority of this feature within WA?
