This feature should really be added in the short term and not the long term. There is a great deal of potential lost revenue for us as we max out our events because of space issues and then members cancel at the last minute and our events are participatory not full. This is a huge gap and seems to be a relatively simple add. Please reconsider it's position on the roadmap. Thank you.

Agreed, this would be really nice to have.

Count me in as someone who really wants this but is very disappointed to see that after a half decade of requests it still hasn't been enabled. I love WildApricot but have to say this is a major fail and oversight. This shouldn't be too hard to implement and should be something that is necessary for anyone having an event. We just posted an event and in 20 minutes it "sold out" - I know have to figure out how to handle all the people who might want to be on the waitlist. Please find a way to implement this (you've had 5+ years to think about it) - this should be considered basic functionality for an event module.

This has feature has been requested my many people for years. We've been manually managing our wait lists, and it's a big nuisance, especially knowing that Meetup does provide wait lists. Please tell me you included this in version 5. Did I just miss it in your announcement?

My organization has a lot of events that get filled up. Is there a way to add a waitlist to events so if anyone cancels, the next member who signed up can take the filled spot?

Agree with points made in this long-running thread. Wait list capability is a very high priority for us and should be for Wild Apricot! It is becoming more so as our events are filling up quickly. Our current options are to maintain a hand-managed wait list by email, or to use meetup for our events. Neither is a good solution.

One more vote for a waitlist - this string has been running for more than six years and dozens of people have been asking for a waitlist. This may be the biggest deficit of Wild Apricot, yet it can't seem to get on your list of changes. Are you afraid that implementing it is too difficult?

Agreed .. this is a critical issue for our club as well. Wild Apricot .. please make this a high priority to add to the Event Mgmt. Capability.

I too want to add my support to the request for a wait list -- which seems to have been on the list for 6 years now according to this thread.

I consider a Wait List a basic and essential feature of an event management system. I'm working on my first Wild Apricot site and, although I like much of what WA offers, I am disappointed to see it does not have a wait list function.

Waitlist is a Absolutely A Required feature. Bring it on please.

Yes, we really, really would a simpler way to do waiting lists. It's a big deal for us. Please implement this.

Ack. We need this feature! I'm bummed to have paged through this thread to find the feature is still not being offered.

I would like to request waitlist functionality also. Perhaps you can offer something a bit simpler, now, such as enabling an option that when registration meets its max capacity, a waitlist option appears and allows registration for the same capacity amount? So if max registration is 12, and that fills, then a waitlist option appears for the next 12?

A waitlist is a wish of ours also.

I would LOVE a wait list. currently I change the text field to "sold out" add a secret registration code and then in text field ask guests to email me. I've also added a "wait list" ticket, but it's a pain in th a** to do it this way.

Adding one more request for wish list. We need this feature for our organization.

We organize some events with specific spots and would really like to have waitlist feature. This is super important to us. Would really appreciate if you can provide some timeline for this feature's ETA.

Additionally we want ability to send invite to some qualified members only e.g. Active paid members by certain date, or/and has kids of certain age group. Please let us know if that is possible in current system or I need to add to wish list.
