Mobile App Customizations
Similar to gadgets on the web page, allow organizations to control which content appears on their mobile app such as:
- Event List
- Forums
- Polls
- Member Directory
- Custom Directories
- An app module built from a specific web WA web page
Given these options, I could build and customize my organization's mobile app to meet out needs. One organization's app may only contain a member directory. Another organization may only want to show events on their app. Someone else might chose to have all options on their app.

I strongly second this suggestion. I love the app, but our members are familiar with our organization and that is what I want them to look for.

The link to the main site is available already.
It' s in the profile screen under the avatar and name.
For example, if your organization name is "house of bamboo", the link will look like this:

I completely agree that branding is required on the app. I also requested that it includes a link to the main website as there is so much more information for members on there. I was advised that a URL link would be included in the next release so would be keen to understand when that will be?
As we all know, engagement in our online communities is key to retain and attract members and the app should emulate the web function as much as possible - or at least link to it. I also requested that the forum is included on the app - see wishlist topic https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/32977381-new-member-app-include-an-option-for-members-to -

Please add branding capability to the app. At minimum, a company logo so it's clear to members what the app is for.

It would be beneficial to have some sort of organization branding/logo on the app once a member has downloaded the app to their device. Thank you!

It would be great if we could substitute the artwork for the Wild Apricot for Members icon for our Club's Logo.
This will reduce resistance in downloading the app as it will appear as our club's app

I really think that, as this is a Members App and obviously only members are using it - they already know what organisation they are a member of, the addition of organisation branding should be much lower down the priority list. It's a 'nice to have', not a need. Lets focus on things that matter.

We would be alright with a small custom logo on every section. If not, might I suggest you put the name of the club in small print below each section; Members, Events and My Tickets.
We would prefer the landing page to be the one the user was when the app closed, instead of the profile page. I understand why you did it, but nobody looks at their own profile so it's just an additional step to go where they really want to be.

I think for us, it would be worth making the profile screen as the first screen as a good first step.

You could try making the member profile the first page, and see what feedback arises from it.

Hi
Here are two ideas for the member app. I hope they can be retrieved..

In a perfect world, the app would detect your location, present you with a list of associations in your area, the user picks one and the login screen appears complete with logo.
At this juncture I think Id be happy with a splash screen and logo, just to get it out the door in a form our members would be able to use. -

Why can't the URL of the website be the very first thing you enter before any credentials are requested.
Step 1. give us your link
Step 2. load the logo and display login info
Step 3. login with username/passwordOnce that's all saved, the logo always shows until you logout.

Unless it’s a stored variable after the first login.

Alex.. see, I thought about that as a suggestion, but where would the domain be entered? A user setting wouldn't work for our organization.

The call https://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Accounts+API+V2+call could need to be expanded or altered to allow unauthenticated public access to this call to retrieve information if given a domain name.
Maybe add the following properties to this call when queried publicly by domain name:
"Mobile App Message": "<yourmessage>",
"Mobile App Logo": "public URL to logo", -

At minimum the logo should display BEFORE login credentials are provided. Is it possible to provide the domain name or website of the organization and then based on that information a logo could come up. I think the API would need to allow to retrieve unauthenticated information for discovery purposes of at least a mobile APP logo. That way once the URL is set the logo is always displayed and you can then login with credentials.
This way you can use the same app to access multiple wild apricot websites by just configuring the url of the website you wish to access.
The URL could be provided BEFORE access credentials are asked for to validate you're logging in to the right website.

Opening the website from the logo header would work for sure.

Agreed...custom branding at the app store level is not necessary and would be cost prohibitive. BUT, I agree that our logo and title would be important so that our members know they are logged into our "site." In fact, ideally our logo header, if clicked, would open our website in their browser on their device. Thank you!

Agreed.. I wouldn’t expect custom branding at the App Store level, that’s what app developers for hire are for.
The ideal would probably be the WA login screen, then a splash screen with a logo, then the logo in a header or possibly a footer above the menu options? That’s my two cents anyway.
