Mobile App Customizations
Similar to gadgets on the web page, allow organizations to control which content appears on their mobile app such as:
- Event List
- Forums
- Polls
- Member Directory
- Custom Directories
- An app module built from a specific web WA web page
Given these options, I could build and customize my organization's mobile app to meet out needs. One organization's app may only contain a member directory. Another organization may only want to show events on their app. Someone else might chose to have all options on their app.

It sounds like you're discussing the idea of building a highly customizable mobile app that allows organizations to control which content modules are displayed, based on their specific needs. This approach allows flexibility, ensuring that each organization's app only contains the features that are most relevant to them.
For example, one organization might prioritize a member directory, while another may focus on events. Others could choose to showcase a combination of features like forums, polls, custom directories, and more. You could even allow organizations to build app modules based on specific web pages, providing a seamless extension of their website content to the mobile app.
This level of custom web application development allows for tailored solutions, https://www.creolestudios.com/web-application-development/giving each organization the control to design their app experience around what matters most to their users. Would you like to explore how to technically implement this type of feature in mobile app development, or are you considering tools/platforms that support this flexibility?

We 100% need to be able to brand our app icon before sharing with members

By the way unless you are an app developer and pay 99 per year to Apple you cannot change the icon or name of an app dynamically. It is against the terms of the Apple App Store.

It is possible to use the shortcuts app to attach a custom icon to the Wild Apricot member app.
See the attached Debbie Harry icon with a custom name linked to the members app via shortcuts app in iOS. Unfortunately this has to be done by each member so it’s not ideal but instructions could be made. A crap workaround but still a workaround.

Is this in the pipeline yet? If so, what is the timing on it? Debating whether to share this with our members. The WA branding will make the app less useful as our members will not remember to look for your app, rather than our own on their app screen. Can someone provide an update on this feature?

I'm also feeling pressured about not having the organization branding on the app icon.

The functionality of the member app is very good, but we need our own club icon on the app before activating it for our members. Please give priority to this request.

I'm also feeling pressured about not having the organization branding on the app icon. It wasn't on my checklist when searching for a vendor because it's something one would assume would follow suit.

Definitely need branding on app we would recommend to membership.
Would be nice to be able to access Store feature from branded app, too. -

It would be nice to see our logo for the mobile app instead of the generic Wild Apricot (WA) logo. I understand that WA writes the code but you sell it to us for use with our membership and they'd like to see our organization' logo since it is instantly recognizable. You could leave named WA for members but let the logo change when an end-user signs-on. Thank you!

Don’t understand why you could just add facility to load an image for a second splash screen after WA Logo. Simple addition that means a lot to your customers.

I repeat this comment from over a year ago. It's simple and won't take a lot of your resources. If you refuse to let us promote our own organization, at least stop forcing us to promote yours (and confuse our members into the bargain)!
------
If we can't brand the app, how about at least removing the WA brand from it? The members don't know what WA is, and shouldn't be seeing someone else's brand if they can't see ours.
So give the app a generic title like "Your Membership" and replace the apricot logo with a membership card icon.

Branding is a must! It is not possible for us to use WA branding. We must build our own brand trust and the app is the very important part of it. That is why we still not use the app. I would recommend WA allow WA`s users to download the app for custom development as a logo, colors etc. https://vidmateapp.vin

There's a big need to at least be able to represent the organization's logo on the app. Otherwise this hampers on our user experience and customers get confused between our brand and WAs.
