Ability for the admin to set/ change “not attending” invitees event status.
Please add the ability for the admin to set/change the attendees event status to "not attending".

We have many members who will reply to an eblast or call to explain why they cannot attend. Admins need a way to mark them as not attending so they don't get additional reminders. (We also don't even use the attend/not attending macro since it's only active 7 days and appends a big red non-editable warning to it...but that's a separate Wish List item.)

Administrators can register a member for an event, but not mark members as "Not Attending" (as is allowed in the registration emails). This would be useful as we could enter this status for members not convenient to emails.
Additionally, this feature could be available to members on the event page (where they register now).

Basically, look at the way evite works. That is what we need here.
Thank you for providing details about "not attending" status usage. Proposal sounds perfectly reasonable even if there are not many votes for it now.
I can't promise anything at the moment but we will consider to implement this functionality in the nearest releases.
Regarding adding guests - you can do it manually as admin. Please have a look at help page:

Administrators should also have the ability to add additional guests manually when they receive the invitees reply by email, phone, WhatsApp or Text message.
Essentially, Administrators should replicate manually the online event registration process.
Many invitees call by phone or send a message to confirm or decline an invitation.
Allowing administrator to add manually registrants but NOT having the ability to set/change the attendees event status to "not attending" defeats the purpose of the enhancement Wild Apricot introduced to manage and keep track of an event attendance in one dashboard.
This missing functionality need to be added in the next release in order to use the introduced event enhancement especially to follow up and resend the event invitation/ reminder to the invitees who "didn't reply" excluding the ones "not attending" (when the notice is received by phone, WhatsApp, text message or email)
