Stop showing the UTC in the calendar
Can we stop UTC showing up in the calendar and emails?
It is confusing people who are trying to work out what the time function is on. I didn't know what UTC was, I had to look it up.

I wish this was fixed back in 2016, but it is not fixed. UTC should not show in event listings and emails.

I agree this issue is not resolved. It should show the city (Taipei) instead of (UTC + 8.00). Much more readable and easy to understand than UTC. This needs to be fixed, and put at the top of the list since you think it was previously fixed and is an easy fix. Don't put this behind tons of long complicated issues. Fix it immediately for a better customer experience.

The problem has not been solved. When I select the Time zone in the Event details tab, the UTC is included and it appears in the Registration & settings and in the Emails. Please remove the letters: "UTC"

I am a recent Apricoter, I looked at the 5.8.3 release notes and there is no mention of UTC. UTC appears in the Event list view so has it been fixed. It is really tricky for 70 year old members to work this out

A recent apricoter, I've been vexed by this and found it's still not been resolved. It's confusing for registrants, and takes up unnecessary space on the website, and registration forms.
