Adding another vote for this feature. Seems like a really important no-brainer to add this.

Any word on this? I wanted to do this for offering member-only perks at an event, but need to know if the member wants to take advantage of it. So, we have an event, members can choose to take advantage of a member-only tour, so members need a check box "Yes, I want the tour," "No, just the main program for me." Non-members don't have the option to the take the tour so I don't want the checkbox on the form for them.

For me personally, this a great suggestion and I’ve been thinking about it for long time myself. Ideally, I’d really like completely redesign our membership levels to concurrent subscriptions model. Subscription gives you access to some information or provide privileges. There can be multiple ways of buying it – e.g. for a year or two, recurring or not, etc. Altogether, subscription-based model is very robust and easy to understand. Please, vote!

I think this would also address a concern we have. Our organization has both individual and corporate memberships. Some of our individual members are also the "representative" for a corporate member, but I do not see a way to make a contact BOTH an individual member AND assign them to a different membership level bundle. How do other organizations address this?
Not sure if this is precisely the same, seems like a solution might be related... we sell individual seats as well as blocks of seats (tables of 8, e.g.). So if I have a venue that holds 200 people, I can sell 200 individual seats or 25 tables of 8, or some combination. But in WA, they both count as just one registration so if I set a reg. limit of 200, I could theoretically end up with 1600 people registered (200 tables of 8).
Similarly, It would be very helpful to have an option for a reg. type to not count toward the limit, especially in light of COVID and the advent of virtual and hybrid events. I can see selling limited seats to experience an event in-person but unlimited to view it virtually.
Implementing a feature by which users can input a value to count toward a limit (8 for a table of eight, 0 for the virtual example), would be very helpful.
