We're considering to take Donations during registrations/applications into development right now, but during analysis of the feature we ran into an issue where we would love to hear your feedback.
Essense of question: how would you like donations during applications or registration to be processed for offline payments (when your member/prospect decided to get an invoice and pay later)?
Some more details:
We can implement donations during event registrations/membership renewals for online payments - not a problem.
But when we're talking about offline payments, straighforward solution seems to be a bit expensive - we don't have invoices for donations or pledges yet.
So right now we're considering going on with straighforward online payments solution (donation will be added to payment transaction) and for offline payments - just include an invoice memo to buyer to add $XXX to his payment as donation for event/membership he has selected.
This way administrators would…

An error occurred while saving the comment Glenn Ostrander commentedFor those organizations using membership levels to provide multi-year renewal choices, the inability of Wild Apricot to correctly calculate 'Renewal Due On' dates, when membership level is changed during the renewal process, makes it impossible to fully implement self-service renewals. Any renewal, with membership level change, prior to the end of the current membership period results in the member being overcharged for one membership period.
This issue has been open since 2010, today it has 86 votes and 55 comments, the last comment from Wild Apricot was three years ago and contains an invalid link, no update to development status has been made in eight years, user requests for status of a fix have gone answered, ... on and on.
Please, Apricots, give this important, necessary and urgent product design defect your attention. At least give us some idea of when a fix will be available and any advice about a workaround (other than to go back to manual renewal processing).
Glenn Ostrander supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Glenn Ostrander commentedWhat's the status of a fix for the multi-year membership level renewal problem? I'm unable to find any mention in the product roadmap and, for my organization, renewal due dates continue to be updated incorrectly when processing renewals.
This problem was first reported in 2010 and in 2012 it was on the design team's to-do list. Have some changes been made? Are more planned? Do we need to start a new thread on this subject?

An error occurred while saving the comment Glenn Ostrander commentedWhile I understand and appreciate Apricot Kernel's explanation of why multi-currency support will not be available in the foreseeable future, I am disappointed that neither Kernel nor Oleg are able to offer any suggestions for a workaround.
My association must find a way to provide both US and Canadian members simple and low cost ways to make payment online or by check. And to have a way to explain that to members during the Wild Apricot payment process.
Oleg and Kernel, please give us some direction and ideas about how circumvent the single currency limitation. Thank you.
Glenn Ostrander supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Glenn Ostrander commentedSame for my organization except members limited to United States and Canada. Recent strength of US dollar versus Canadian and other world currencies makes multi -currency support even more important. At the moment it's not even on the wishlist. Please add and get to it as soon as other priorities permit.

To Wild Apricot Product Management: This highly desirable feature, requested 8 years ago and now shown with 226 votes and 83 comments posted since July 2015, has not reached Work in Progress status and has elicited little response from Wild Apricot staff. Your customers deserve better Wishlist feedback and prompt attention to development of features, like this one, that have wide interest and are available in many other membership management offerings.
