Merged together several closely related by meaning ideas – so we can properly resolve them all together, in different live scenarios
An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedI recently had a great conversation with one of our users regarding this request and it gave me a much deeper appreciation for why it's so important. Like everyone that's commented I'd love to see it in Wild Apricot, but we'll need to see more comments/votes to make that happen.
So if you want it - it's time to let us know!

An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedGreat addition Rick - I've added it to the list! Also would very curious to learn more about the custom/API features you've added. I'll contact you directly via email.
An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedThanks Katie! I know quite a few clients use or want to use Wordpress, so I think they'll find this quite helpful.
An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedVery nice! I'll update the thread :)
An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedGreat idea. If we do anything like this I'll post an update here.
An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedGreat work Melinda! Looking forward to seeing your future projects.
An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedHi Jenliven - Glad you're enjoying it!
And I'll forward this note on to the designer of the Rich Tech site.
An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedKerrie - Very nice! You'll see it in the gallery shortly.
P.S We're currently working on many improvements to our CMS/Template engine. But we're not just adding things, we're also taking out a lot of the extra HTML/CSS that I'm sure you encountered.

An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedHi Anonymous,
Could you tell me more about how your events (games?) are structured?
(By the way, if you're not shy, please login and update your username, to make this conversation a little more personal :) )

An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedAll you need to do is find the id of the element you want to remove (I suggest using "Inspect Element" in Chrome (see https://developer.chrome.com/devtools/docs/dom-and-styles ).
And then copy the id of that element into your CSS settings and apply the "display:none;" property.
For example if you wanted to hide the "Email subscriptions" link you would use:
#FunctionalBlock1_ctl00_ctl00_subscriptionsTabLink{display:none;}

While we’re collecting comments and votes, Picky Apricot suggested a workaround that uses theme overrides to add more social networks to the social profile gadget: https://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Social+profile+gadget#Socialprofilegadget-Addingothersocialnetworks
An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedUnderstood. But we would still need to see a little more interest before we considering adding it. But by suggesting it you've got the ball rolling, so hopefully more users would find this interesting.

An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedHi yrwray,
I'm assuming you've seen our "Getting Started Guides", especially our Website guide (see http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Getting+started+with+websites )
But I think what you're asking for is something a little more detailed/design specific - which totally makes sense.
Unfortunately we can't promise anything yet, but if we do create anything like this we'll post updates here (including collecting feedback on what should be included).
Thanks for posting!
An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedThanks eels.
We're currently working on some major improvements to the CMS portion of WA so you should see some of these tools becoming a lot easier to use.
Once we're closer to the final release we'll need some beta testers. Would you be interested in trying it out?
An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedYes you should be able to utilize the jQuery library within Wild Apricot sites. However since Wild Apricot already uses jQuery you don't need to include the library into your site. You can just start using the methods/plugins right away.
You can test this using the following simple example:
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function() { alert("Hi Wild Apricot"); });
</scriptAn error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedThanks Chris - It sounds like your suggests/comments align with our current plans for the 'template engine' improvements in 4.1 and 4.2 . However how flexible these improvements will make Wild Apricot is still a little unknown but it's definitely something we're focusing on and will push towards.
As for the issues with jQuery these are known issues that we will be addressing. However a specific timeline has not been set. But it may very well go hand in hand with the 4.1 and 4.2 updates to the template capabilities.

An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedNot yet. But in our next release (5.0) we will include new tools that will allow you to save historical copies of any pages.
Is this what you're looking for?
If not please elaborate on the compliance requirements.
An error occurred while saving the comment Frank commentedFYI - Website Backup tool.
It won't create a backup that you can easily restore from but if you just want a copy of all your publicly visible pages/images you could use a tool like HTTrack Website Copier http://www.httrack.com

To submit a forum post, a member has to go onto the forum and make the posting there.Desired Behavior:
On a forum by forum basis, admin can enable a function that creates an email address that members can send their posts to. It would use their email address to access their profile information and use that to identify the poster. The subject of the e-mail becomes the title and the body of the email is the body of the post.If the email was not the same as the one associated with a member, the post would not be processed.

We're considering to take Donations during registrations/applications into development right now, but during analysis of the feature we ran into an issue where we would love to hear your feedback.
Essense of question: how would you like donations during applications or registration to be processed for offline payments (when your member/prospect decided to get an invoice and pay later)?
Some more details:
We can implement donations during event registrations/membership renewals for online payments - not a problem.
But when we're talking about offline payments, straighforward solution seems to be a bit expensive - we don't have invoices for donations or pledges yet.
So right now we're considering going on with straighforward online payments solution (donation will be added to payment transaction) and for offline payments - just include an invoice memo to buyer to add $XXX to his payment as donation for event/membership he has selected.
This way administrators would…

I think I understand your suggestion (i.e. better integration of event registration in external websites), but could you elaborate on what you mean by "mirroring what others do"?
