An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Melcher supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Melcher commentedDid you know that members who have set to Lapsed and subsequently come back are filling in a new member application, therefore are considered brand new members. Then, the membership saved search will list lapsed as new. Same thing for the webpage gadget when it uses that inaccurate saved search. There is a way to get 'pure' new members using a Contact saved search, but you can't display that on a webpage.
Disappointing, given the prime goal of most websites is to attract the new. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Melcher commentedI agree with previous comments. We have made email blasts available to select members by giving them newsletter admin credentials. The privilege comes with a user manual that tells them what they can and cannot touch (such as creating new email templates). This means those members can create and send emails to a pre-established Member Saved search. They can check on receipt stats and save the sent email to their personal email log. Not perfect, but improves communication to subsets of our membership.

Many thanks for your comments and feedback in this thread - it was super helpful for us in analysis and design of the feature.
I'm happy to announce that we're working on adding donations to compensate payment processing fees. This feature will be released later this year. Some design decisions I wanted to speak out explicitly:
1. We decided to proceed with optional donations to compensate credit card processing fees as opposed to surcharges/convenience fee.
Main reasons for this is that there are too many regulations around mandatory charges to compensate fees: it's illegal in some countries/states, there are caps on how much you could charge, etc. To avoid all of this legal complications we decided to suggest members to opt-in to compensate processing fees, as opposed to make them obligatory.
All these transactions will be recorded as donations in WA and can be later used for tax deduction.2. You…

Even though it is not a direct implementation, I hope this could be helpful:
We just launched integration with Integromat platform, which helps to build automated workflows. We also provide several templates for quick start, and one of them allows to copy google calendar events into WA events. So if you share a google calendar for events submission, then the scenario could copy submitted events into your Wild Apricot account.
You can try this integration by this link https://www.integromat.com/en/integration/2275-copy-google-calendar-into-wild-apricot-eventsMark Melcher supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Melcher commentedTHis should be a choice in the Account setup page. Not everyone wants mandatory 2FA
Currently, a member who lapses can restart their membership, but they are considered a new member by Member Saved searches and on the webpage gadgets. There are several methods to exclude previous-but-Lapsed members from being reported as net new members. It can be done in a Contacts search, but not a Member one. Therefore, our members get confused when they see the webpage gadget report their friends as new joiners. The selected solution needs to be implemented in a Member Saved search, in the webpage gadget, and perhaps any dashboard reporting on member growth.
