Duplicate Gadgets on a page
Not even sure if I"m using this forum correctly ha ha. Signed up for free trial yesterday, hoping it's going to meet my needs. One question right now: Is there a way to duplicate a gadget????? Like, I created one gadget with text, image, etc...and I'd like to duplicate it and then change the content. I see delete, move, settings but no 'copy or duplicate'...

COME ON!! Personify/WildApricot, how can it be that this is still not possible? Are you improving/developing your product (the website builder) at all?

Wow this was raised in 2015 and this simple, fundamental and essential functionality for all content editors has not yet been implemented. How hard is it?
Not only hasn't it been implemented but Wild Apricot is ignoring its user base.
Do you know how miserable we are when our users ask us to duplicate layouts? Really a lot because it would be so simple with a duplicate function but yet we have to slave away hoping that we get all the parameters to correct for our duplicated gadgets. -

Being able to copy and paste a layout, it's gadget(s), and content would be extremely helpful.
When building duplicate layouts, I keep running into small discrepancies between A and B even though everything was built the same (margins, padding, image size, etc.).
Live example: https://wea.wildapricot.org/Board-of-Directors/
The third row down on our Board of Directors page. -

The ability to duplicate a content gadget would make website building much easier. Even better would be a facility for saved global gadgets. Many content gadgets are used over and over on different pages and currently each has to be written individually.

I agree, this functionality (being able to duplicate a gadget) is still much needed.

Please add this functionality...much needed still!

Please add this function to the editing website page. Sometimes we spend time creating the format for a gadget or module, only to need another one just like it. But then we have to start over and recreate it. Please do this!

5 years passed, any update on this?

In designing a page, there needs to be an option to duplicate a portion of a layout, gadget, or components on the page.
This is not the same as duplicating a page, but portions on that page.

Trying to do similar. I want to duplicate a folder icon/gadget with the same subtitle (then, just edit the subtitle). I can duplicate the settings of the folder icon/gadget -- but, I cannot get the subtitle (content gadget) to be added without a space in between.

Layouts and gadgets are just blocks of HTML5 (HTML/CSS/JS). They can be duplicated. I also request this feature to be implemented.

I would like the ability to customize a gadget, name it, and then reuse the gadget across multiple pages. For example, have some custom HTML code that gets used on multiple pages. While we can cut and paste the code from one page to another, this is a maintenance headache. It would be nice to be able to change that code in one place and have the change propagate across all the places where it is used.

2 years have passed and I'm sad that this has not already been implemented... seems like it would be relatively quick if you can duplicate whole templates

I'll take it a step farther and suggest being able to duplicate gadgets across pages, not just on the same page.

I'd like to be able to duplicate a gadget too. Content gadgets are easy to dup by simple copy/paste, but things like directories, calendars, forums, blogs, etc. are more difficult because of all the settings involved.

I would like to vote for this as well. In fact, I would take this one step further and would like the ability to duplicate layouts as well. Wordpress has a plugin called Visual Composer which allows the ability to clone multi-column layouts which is a huge time saver.

Lisa, your idea makes sense. I moved it to Wishlist forum to collect comments from others.

Thank you! I have been trying to figure out how to do that. Wish there was a way to dup other gadgets as well!
