Contact us gadget - to send a message to site admins

Currently there is no (easy) way to create a "contact us" page, where any visitor can submit some information to site administrators through a simple input form.
Suggestion: create a new gadget ("Contact us form"). Admin can add this gadget to any page (e.g. "Contact us" page) and setup up some parameters (like email to send submitted information to). The gadget will show basic textbox field wшер Send button. Clicking on the button will send content of the textbox to emails specified by admin on gadget settings.

The work-around for the lack of a contact us/feedback page is pretty convoluted when we're trying to blitz recreating our current site in WA so we can launch.

This concept should be extended to allow any member to opt to be emailed by the public without revealing their email address.
For instance, how about a "contact" member field type? It would appear as a link that would bring up a form to email the member. If that field's privacy setting is set to public, then anyone could contact the member through their profile without seeing the email address or other non-public member fields.
With this feature, our officers could be contacted by non-members without their email addresses being harvested for spamming. Likewise members posting in forums.

Even a simple work-around like forwarding "site contact" email to the other admins would be nice. Anytime someone would email the contactus@MyCompany.com or admin@MyCompany.com the system could then forward this email in question to the other admins in the system. This is a feature that would help me out tremendously!

Judy, We agree. Our current workaround is by no means our desired permanent solution. Hopefully we can address this this with a real contact us gadget soon. We will post any updates here.

Why give a complicated workaround. It would be easier if you would provide a "Contact Us" feature. It seems like it should just be a standard feature.

Wholeheartedly agree. Having to add Google forms is a pain and harder to administer. Need the option of having a form gadget that can be customised to the requirements of the page.

Contact form for enquiries. Like WP contact form 7. Currently this needs a complex work around which I can't be bothered to do.

More widgets including a contact form- these are basic building blocks for building a site, to make it so convoluted is just awful and was almost enough to make me give up on you. We have had to include several Google forms and it seems archaic by web standards. Very frustrating.
