Enforcing 'terms and rules' field acceptance
I would like to be able at member login to force members to agree to Terms and Rules if they have not already done so. Also, if Terms and Rules change, set the checkbox to unchecked so as to force all members to agree again.

This is a critical missing part. We are also a driving club that requires waivers and release acknowledgements. The current system allows us to create acknowledgement buttons at membership application but there is no validation that the text has been actually read. Not sure this will hold up legally. The ability to have an "I Agree" Button at the bottom of the text that then will trigger the acknowledgement box on the member account would be very desirable.

We have a Rules and terms membership field for accepting waivers when registering. We need our members to re-accept the waiver when renewing. Right now this field can't be changed during renewal.
It would be great to be able to set a rules and terms field to reset to unaccepted on renewal and to be able to be re-accepted during the process. -

This is an urgently needed feature for our club as well.

I also agree. This is a very urgent completely necessary feature.

i totally agree with the necessity for
- forcing the person to at least scroll down to the bottom of the terms & conditions in order to accept them
- returning to the application/renewal form after the acceptance
- forcing the member to accept them again on membership renewal
- forcing all members to accept them again if they are changed -

Members - we can make mandatory fields on new membership and at renewal - can you add the function where if we add mandatory field or changes to Terms & Conditions etc - can this be a function where when a member logs in they are forced to accept or read the mandatory field before booking an event ?

I recently sent the following to Support. "Some time ago, i asked for a way to include a mandatory field for event entrants to agree to terms before being able to proceed, as in most other websites. I see there has now been a category added for that in entry types. There is however a problem with this. If you add a link to a page to open with the details, it takes you out of WA to your browser, and no way to accept the conditions then have it reurn you straight back the entry area you were in, to continue.
Is there a simplified way to bring you straight back to your previous position, if not can you please correct this programming error. In these days of increased litigation, this area is greatly needed. In your recent webinar you talk about streamlineing the entry system to encourage more entries. This is one way that will and avoid having to send and collect physical printed forms from entrants.
Thank you Denis Weisz, MotorSport Director BMW Club Qld"
I received a reply from Sameer confirming this is currently the only way this works.
I replied,
Hi Sameer,
So what you are saying, at this stage, there is still no way to go back to the entry form the person was on. I raised this once before and at that stage there wasn’t any way to even add the terms and conditions.
One only has to use virtually any online form and you are asked to agree to terms and conditions of use before proceeding now days, then returned to the form to continue.
I find this a major fault with WA currently and would suggest fixing this, and bringing WA up to date, should be given the utmost priority. There is also another issue, when adding in a link to a terms and conditions statement, there is no way to link to a file held in WA file store like used for Event Details or emails. You have to link it to an external file eg Google Docs. you need to be able to access your file store in WA to add it. I guess that would also work better in returning you to the entry page to continue your entry, keeping you in WA and not out in your browser.

Organizations that require waivers, such as outdoor clubs, must demonstrate strong processes around annual waiver collection for liability and insurance purposes. Acknowledgement of waivers annually and with any change is critical and should be enforced upon members' first log in after the new waiver comes into effect.

I agree and also would like to have an option to enforce that any required fields that have not been yet filled in could be enforced at the time of login.
Thanks!

I've added the Rules and Terms field and created the page that new applicants must read and approve before proceeding. However, I have imported 450 members from my former system, and they are NOT required to read and approve the Rules and Terms at Wild Apricot when they log if the Rules and Terms field is set to 'no'.
I would like the login procedure enhanced to require existing members to approve the R&T if they have not done so previously, before they are allowed to continue the login process. For Admins not wishing this, it could be made a site option.
If this enhancement is adopted, then changing the R&T field to 'no' via a mass export/import would also cause members to reaffirm a new R&T if the document is revised.
This would make our liability insurer very happy.
