Ability to Customize Password Reset Email
We'd like the ability to customize the Password Reset Email that is sent to users to let them know if they reset their password it does not change their password for all of our other systems as the registration site (wild apricot) is not integrated. It is a separate system.

This would be super useful. As it stands, there are multiple links in the password reset email, and our users tend to click the first one...which is NOT the reset link. Changing the email would probably be far easier than changing user behavior...

It would be easier to maintain my website (especially for the next guy) if the text of the "password instruction e-mailed" and "password changes successful" responses were something I could edit on Website>System Pages. The existing messages can make for a confusing/negative first-user experience
We noticed this issue when integrating Wild Apricot widgets into an existing website. When users reset the password, the "reset password successful" text directs them to the home page of the Wild Apricot site, not the homepage of the website where Wild Apricot's membership functionality is being integrated. Likewise the "Back" link in the "password instructions were e-mailed" message. Since I cannot edit this text, I cannot fix these links (or give users additional instruction in the messages). See attachment for the resulting confusion.
The current workaround involves editing the CSS to remove these links, but it's not at all obvious what the custom CSS text is changing:
#ctl00_ContentArea_messageBox_idConfirmWindowStyle > div.cww-inner > div > div > a {
display: none;
}#id_j4lOTpy > div > div > div.cww-inner > div > div > a {
display: none;

No ETA, sorry.

Is there any ETA on this request to be able to customize the 'password reset URL' macro? this is currently a point of failure for our transition to WA via integration into existing Wordpress site.

Yes, please add this feature!

Like most of you I also don't understand why this would be a standard feature and would like to express my hope that it will be implemented before long.

HELP! the link address in our system Password Reset emai is WRONG!!! What the heck! We recently went back to using the wild apricot system url rather than a third party custom url - but the password reset still has the old web link!!! how the heck do we change that? This is not acceptable!!!!

Chiming in that this really needs to be implemented. The password reset email is going to be the first Wild Apricot email many of our members see, because they have to reset their passwords to renew existing memberships that we have imported. As many have already pointed out, not only will the email not be branded appropriately, it will include bad links and information that will likely prevent people from finishing the renewal process. If other emails can be customized, this seems like it shouldn't have taken two years to integrate as a feature. Please fix this.

Is there an ETA on this enhancement? We also have an external website and need to direct users to our site as well which requires us to update the password instruction email. It just makes sense to have this capability.

No good news for now.

Curious what the status of this is, it should be something we are able to do. I recently build a branded template that we use on all system emails and would like to do the same on these...
Thanks

Sorry, we wouldn't be able to look at this for a while, at least for the next 6 months.

Any chance of an update on this? We are in the same situation where the domain redirect means the URL referenced in the email is not the URL of our members' site - so currently this email is a point of failure on the overall membership handling workflow.
Would appreciate a response - thanks!

I don't understand why this wouldn't be standard. The email lists my website address incorrectly as we use a forward from our main website address. The fact that I can't change this is maddening. It's very confusing to our members when they get the email.

We would also like the ability to customize the password reset email. All of the others are customizable so it only makes sense.
But most importantly, when just switching over from an old manual membership database to this new online WA system, it would really help to smooth the transition and keep member satisfaction high.
Please add this functionality to Wild Apricot - and soon please!
thanks!

Thanks for suggestion - I was quite surprise that there has been no such a comment before.
