Print Calendars in Landscape Mode
Would be very helpful to have the ability to print the calendars in landscape mode one month at a time for handouts (currently it seems to do a random number of weeks based on the current date), and control the fonts.

We don't many events on the same day. Would be nice to print a monthly calendar out in landscape mode. For events that span more than one day, print them out like a Google calendar does. Have options to print a single month, several months, 12 months or pick the ranges of dates.

Frequently, we want to send the calendar out to the membership to get them to participate more. The ability to Print the Calendar to a file or to PDF would enable us to email the calendar out. As well, our team would appreciate being able to post the calendar at the Gym to show the dates for the classes.

we need to print a weekly and monthly calendar for our members. We manually inout all events on a separate calendar format and email it to members. Very labor intensive. Please add a print button and print in usable format for members!

We have no print button available at all. So are members cannot print our calendar. I cannot print our calendar or our event list. Cannot even export our event list to excel. Very frustrating to have everything in there and pretty but no way put it in hard form for bulletin boards or for members to keep on them.

It would be great to have a "Print" icon that would generate a new printable page (fit to page) of that month isolated so I could send to PDF (or graphic snip the view) and put in newsletter.

We like to post the calendar on a bulletin board in the club, hand it out as part of our membership package and also if we could save it as a photo and put it in our newsletter those would be GREAT options. Saving the page as a PDF only saves the intro page, I can do a screen shot and crop it, but that's meh, and I can try to print directly but all in all it would be great to have the option to export it as an actual calendar.

We print a monthly calendar to post at the Club and it would be great to have them for members to take. Both with and without event details. Without details is just fine for the time begin epecially as we try to get more members to use the site!!!!

I decided to join couple of posts into one and move it to Wishlist. I want to focus this thread on printable event calendar. What are basic scenarios for this? Why current print button does not work for you?

Appreciate the details, I understand your perspective now.
To be frank, since this applies to relatively narrow scenario (many events per day - not too common among our users; printing the calendar - also not very common vs. looking it up online), it's not something I envision us looking at for at least the next 12 months. However, the event calendar itself has not been updated in a while so there is a good chance that we will end up redesigning that - and when we do, I will make a note to consider the printing aspect.
For the time being I hope you will manage with the workarounds/procedures you have described.

Chief,
Thanks for the response. The problem is when there are so many events in one day (and the event names are long), causing the calendar to spill over into the next page. I have a .pdf example at www.quickpatents.com/clients/calexample.pdf. The solution would be to truncate the names of each event beyond a certain point, and to limit the total number of listed items in a single day to a certain maximum number (for instance).
The other, most elegant solution, is to build a calendar template that you send to a .pdf generator that maximizes a single sheet of, say, letter sized paper. Then every calendar print-out looks the same, but of course it would have the month and year and the specific events listed, and if there was a day that had too many events or events with names that were too long, you could either reduce the font size, and once that's at a minimum, start truncating. Just a thought if you have a .pdf writing script.
Of course, the other solution is we just use less verbose event titles, which we're going to try to do. But the person entering events is not always the same, and they are not always aware of how their entries (as a group) affect something downstream like members printing a calendar. Thanks for any consideration, or other suggestions.

I tried it on my account and it worked pretty well for me. Please contact support and provide more details:
- specific page in question
- your browser/OS details

Is there any way to print the calendar so that it prints in a nice format? Maybe send it to a .pdf file or something, so that it will always work with my printer? I'd like it to take up most of the page, be centered, and most important, NOT kick into the next page if some of my event titles are long.

Can you elaborate - which calendars do you print and why/how it is being used?
