Uploading documents and photos in forum and blog posts
Is it possible that you could correct the function of the forum and blog pages to not only allow someone to add a link, but also to add a document to the page?
What downfall is there in providing this function?
Update from CMS team:
Happy to announce that this request was released to all clients in version 5.17
Members can now attach documents and images when adding or replying to a forum topic.

This thread also contains comments and requests related to inserting images into Blog posts. We decided to separate it to own thread and continue to collect your comments there. Please vote and leave your comments:

This would be helpful for us too. Our membership has an internal buy/swap/sell forum where images would really add.
Thankyou.

This feature is super critical for us as well. The social aspect of the club is key, and a big thing for our members is sharing photos.

Please add this feature ASAP! I have many clients who need the ability to have their members post photos to forums. I actually thought this feature had already been added.

I'm the same as everyone else - we really need this ASAP!!

This is a major barrier to using the forum application. It limits the forum user to imagine what someone is talking about rather than being able to see it. It cannot be that hard for WA to fix, as admin can already post images, but members cannot. Members are the users of the forums, .....more than admin. Proposal looks fine....but when can we expect it???? Please expedite so we can use the forum application.....

I would like to use the forum for our website, but the ability to let members post images is essential. We are a fossil collecting group with over 650 members, and they would like to post a picture of their finds and then have help from other members in identifying the fossils. This is not possible without an image post.

As an administrator, I can insert images into forum posts by clicking on the More button in edit mode whereas members do not have that option. Since that functionality already exists, why can we not have the option to allow Members to have access to that same feature? That would solve the problem for us with minimal changes to your software.

I'm sorry, we have no ETA

If possible, include the ability to link directly to a forum topic or forum image from another page on the WA site.

It looks solid. I think it would be great if there was a gallery option but it's not an urgent requirement.

Our forums cannot get a starting foothold because pictures and other attchments cannot be included by users. We are using other software platforms for this purpose but that requires additional user lists and maintenance. Please add these features ASAP.

Being able to upload photos to the forum. Our forum has been dying because our members like to use facebook to upload pictures

I also agree that members should be able to enter their own pictures. With so much on the internet being visual I can't fathom why this would not be possible. It seems like Wild Apricot trys to restrict the amount of space being used by their customers. There are so many nice things about using WA, yet some of the restrictions such as this make no sense to me at all. This feature is available on other blogging platforms, why not WA?

I looked over the design and it looks promising. I hope this can be implemented soon.
Thx! -

We are getting killed by Facebook!
If this feature is not available 1Q 2016, or if it is not as convenient and flexible as Facebook, our organization might go extinct.

Matt, very soon - no, but it's in my short list for the next year

Literally this is the only thing we need for our forum to be useful. I. Hope it come soon or we will have to abandon using one

I too need the ability to add photos to a blog/news post. Our bicycle club members do adventurous rides and they post their stories and they often include a few photos.
