Make Member Since field available in Member Directory
See note below. Our members would benefit to learn when everyone become part of our organization. It offers continuity and a since of longevity. I contemplated just creating a field, but that was too easy, so I decided to add this to the wishlist to see if others agree and it would save me the time to create the field and maintain it since it is already a system fields. Do all of you agree?
Albert,
Unfortunately it is currently not possible to show the Member since system field in the member directory http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Member+directory . If you could post this request in our wishlist http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist forum then we can gather feedback from others as well and gauge the need for this functionality
Regards,

Add our organization to others here that wish to display a "member since" field in our organization directory. Yes, software development takes time, and yes, you can't implement every feature requested. But Apricot already displays this very same field in one's own member profile!
You've prioritized showing members something about themselves that they should already know over showing other members something interesting about a fellow member. Please add this!

I have two different organizations for which I am their webmaster. BOTH would REALLY love this feature. How do I vote this up again to reflect that another organization would like this feature??

Our club also would like to be able to automatically display the "member since" field on the member profile field. I'm not a programmer but it seems to me it ought to be a fairly simple update and would save an enormous amount of time over doing it manually member buy member.

Doug - thank for the comment (and we actually captured it twice, as our support team added your earlier note into internal notes for this particular wishlist item). The problem with software development is there are no really 5 mins changes - everything requires very thorough testing in various environments before it can go live. This is why we have to prioritize various requests and currently we're mostly focusing on top-voted features. It does not mean that this particular thing won't be resolved at all, it's just that it has slightly less priority in overall list.

My board is asking why we can't display this and field. The folks who maintained the old system displayed this info and I am being asked to explain why data which is clearly stored in a member record of the new system can not be displayed in the directory. This seems like a 5 minute fix....

VetteGyrl - can you please explain why is it a deal breaker when it comes to renew membership?

We absolutely require this field in order for us to continue using this software solution. There is no reason why we should be hiding this information from members. This will be a deal breaker for us when it comes time to renew.

We also would like this feature. We currently have to build a Printed Directory where this field is very prominently featured and we expected to be able to make this visible online as well. Thank you.

I agree! Ditto on the reasons. I would also like to be able to search based on this field -- at least I don't think we can do that now. (I'm a new administrator.)

I too would like to see the system "Member Since" field made available to be displayed in a directory page for all the same reasons. I have created a custom "Member Since" field but having to maintain two separate fields of the same information goes against my sense of good database design.

I agree with Albert's suggestion. As our professional association of consultants grows, it's important for prospective clients and member to see that there's a rich mix of new and old members.
It's interesting to note that the Member Since field is available as an advanced search parameter which means that technically it could be incorporated into a filtered member directory. Without knowing the mechanics of the WA design, it just seems odd that the system field Member ID is available for display though others are not.
