For now, this is not something we’re going to change – not sure if ever.
Workaround to use: create a special “entry” free level to apply to, and close “normal” ones for application. For the entry level, create also a dropdown field where a potential member can choose a level they want to apply to. Add other fields you need to assess the application. When application is successful, your admin is to change membership level to required one and generate membership invoice (membership upgrade invoice). The member will be emailed with the invoice and can pay.Doug ARMSTRONG supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Doug ARMSTRONG commentedNot 100% sure this fits with the scope of this. We require letters or recommendation for perspective members. Was looking for a way to make them an online form and then attach them to a perspective member's contact record.
Otherwise a generic forms solution as described above would be great to have.

An error occurred while saving the comment Doug ARMSTRONG commentedLike many others we want to nail down the number of folks who will be attending a larger event ahead of time with a down payment/deposit will putting off the actual payment until the XXX days before the event.
I see this working a bit like the membership application:
1) Register for the event
2) Rcv an invoice or have the CC pay on line option to complete registration
3) XXX days prior to the event you get an email/invoice requiring you to pay for the event of lose your slot. Thanks for the great work WA!

Old design proposal, not working on it yet and can be changed if we start working on it – https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0f9kMyQqlBsZ3FQOWRiMERRNkk/view?usp=sharing

An error occurred while saving the comment Doug ARMSTRONG commentedMy board is asking why we can't display this and field. The folks who maintained the old system displayed this info and I am being asked to explain why data which is clearly stored in a member record of the new system can not be displayed in the directory. This seems like a 5 minute fix....

An error occurred while saving the comment Doug ARMSTRONG commentedOur club collects money for reasons other than membership and events. For example, we rent moorings and dock slips, we have storage facilities, and trailers etc. Folks run tabs in the restaurant and bar.
Our members want to pay for everything in one place. Would be great if we could import external member billing items (invoices) and have WA manage payment for these.
Along these lines it would be nice to add user comments. For example during the member renewal period we have members who want to go inactive for one reason or another. In the future they can rejoin without repaying the initiation fees if they left in good standing.
Being able to add a comment for example when suspending someone "suspended in good standing see email text below." This would be tagged with the admins log in id, TOD etc. Future admins would be able to see a history of operations on the members records. This would be a great tool for retaining institutional knowledge.
Thanks for the great work WA.
