Multi-session events with a single registration (e.g. courses)
Current behavior:
Events can not recur automatically, each instance has to be created manually.
Desired behavior:
Ability to setup automatically recurring events, for example monthly board meetings
Notes:
1) We need to figure out what kind of recurrence is required, for example:
- every XX weeks on a certain day
- monthly on certain date
- monthly on a certain weekday (e.g. 2nd Tuesday of each month)
2) probably should be able to set max number of recurrence
3) Initially we will not address the ability to register and pay for several events in the series.
UPDATED: This post is to be focused on particular scenario - multiple sessions but with single registration for all (e.g. course). For another scenario where registration and event descriptions can be different for each occurrence, see http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/9056287-recurring-events-scenario-2-separate-registratio
Released in v5.6 (Oct 2015)

We have many events that occur across multiple weeks/months and setting these up is a huge waste of time because every "instance" must be set up separately.
As an example, we have an event that occurs every Wednesday from 6-9pm and runs for for 5 weeks. If you sign up for one, you must sign up for all. However, today, we have to set this up as 5 separate events and make everyone sign up for each one individually. THIS IS A MAJOR PAIN!
Even free calendar programs have this ability, when will you support this? Thank you!

PLEASE find a way to show dates that do not say 'start' and 'end'. Some of our events are two consecutive Mondays, for example (for a two day workshop). There needs to be a way to show two dates rather than from and to dates.
Also, in the calendar view, our two day event shows up as an eight day event since WA does not understand that there can be a break in days. As an example, please see astdgoldengate.org events/workshops. The Feb 13 workshop is actually Feb 13 AND Feb 20, not THROUGH Feb 20.
This is EXTREMELY confusing to users.
