keep original expiration date when changing membership levels
When changing from one membership level to another, the renewal date changes. It shouldn't change just because the level changes.

There should be selectable options to retain Members Since and Renewal Date when changing levels. This benefits clubs that have membership levels that are different terms, but is a continued membership.

I FULLY agree with this. You penalize members for renewing early. They're not changing their membership, they are changing a membership level.
I like a lot of things about Wild Apricot. But the logic of this escapes me from both an administrator and user viewpoint. -

I agree. This needs to be fixed. If you don't notice that the renewal date changes when you change the membership level, you are giving the member a free year of membership. It makes no sense for the renewal date to auto-change. There should at least be a pop-up confirmation box asking you to hit OKAY or CANCEL.

I am just seeing this. The membership renewal date should not change when giving an option to change levels. Please fix.

We have that same issue. We have to keep a separate data base, so the membership person can correct the join date.

Absolutely correct. A member choosing to change levels wrecks havoc for our membership person - he has to keep a separate "set of books" just to reset the members renewal date in these instances.
