While the function to automatically create the thumbnail based on the actual email content is interesting, it really does not help us to identify an email easily.

No issue with having this in the case where there is not already a thumbnail, but it should not override existing thumbnails (as set by administrator) and administrator should always have the ability to replace generated thumbnails with user selected image

Return the ability to create image for email template

Please do not do "automatic thumbnail generation based on email content"! We need to be able to create and organize our own thumbnails, just as we are able to create our own "File" organization structure. Each client likely has differing ways we create and organize email templates.

I also agree that thumbnails we select on our own is VERY useful for the template section. I like branding a set of templates for various programs with the same image for the thumbnail. Please bring it back..

It is a minor issue but I cannot find anything in your help documents on this.

I created email templates which have my profile pictures in it. I somehow now cannot replicate this.
I understand from your support that this is not available feature any more.

How do I add that thumbnail to my email templates?
Why do I need this? Because I can easily see which email templates are mine and which are general or belong to other members - because the template has my profile picture instead of being 'blank - Junk Rig boat'/

When I create a custom email template, I would like to see a thumbnail preview on the templates page. Sometimes I create different versions and it would be so much more helpful to see these to compare at a glance.
