Give us back our Legacy editor
We REALLY REALLY hate the new manual email editor. Being able to imbed images with the text (and have them flow as we amend text), and access to the underlying HMTL to tweak layouts were ESSENTIAL to our marketing efforts.
You should at least have left the option to stick with the legacy editor and let us worry about whether the potential downfalls are worth it.
I don't object to having a "beginners" editor available to those who need it, but forcing everyone to live with their limits is pretty paternalistic and, well, silly.
This might be the final straw to where we abandon WiAp for a more professional platform.

Old editor consistently caused a lot of formatting problems. Usually, our users were not happy about the result emails and their appearance in different email readers. So we rebuilt the editor and returning to an old one is not an option.
The new editor removes some features, but at the same time, it helps to create more consistent and visually appealing emails.
We understand that there is room for improvement, and we are going to add features and fix problems in the new editor. If you have ideas on how to make it better, please create a topic on forum or vote for an existing one.

I agree. The new editor is awful. I just want to add an image in the body of my text! WA has made that impossible. So frustrating!

Yes we don't like the new email editor either. The first thing we discovered is that they removed the 'thumbnail' with no way for us to add one in. This was important to our organization in terms of organizing our templates to make administration much easier. Bad move WA bad move!

Our only issue with the legacy email editor was that photos inserted to the left of text meant that the text appeared right up against the photos. So we were happy that issue was resolved with the new editor. HOWEVER, now that we have created newsletters twice in the new editor, we find it very frustrating and cumbersome. Too many steps required to size and place photos and text. Too much white space vertically even when we use zero padding. Too many test emails and adjustments required in order to get a good looking newsletter.

I agree. It's definitely more difficult to make the text flow nicely around the graphic. Between this and the broad access to members' personal information that event administrators have I'm gone from months of being very pleased with WA to regretting that I ever recommended using this platform instead of WordPress. After weeks of trying to make this new email system work for her, our newsletter editor has resigned her volunteer position and we're having problems getting anyone to take it over.

What was wrong with the prior editor???? I do not like this editor as it is not user friendly, and there was a brief training video that does not appear to be still available.

Exactly. I create a weekly newsletter also and do mine on Sundays. I pull up my template I have been using for years and can't add a picture to my content that is already in a single-column layout. The only way to add a picture, that I can see, is as a gadget <i>outsite</i> of the layout. There used to be an "image" button in the edtior. The new interface is horrible.

It is Friday, the day I write an e-newsletter. I copy a template and write content and send. This new email editor is awful and I don't have time to learn something that isn't intuitive. There is no way to edit content in a gadget?!

Hello, a little feedback on the new email system. I know it will take some getting used to but it was a DREAM before. It was far easier to use and I created some great looking emails with it! The blocks are too much like Mail Chimp and not as integrative. Everything is clunkier; sizing the images, adding buttons, adding blocks.
