User ID field: Give Option to be Admin Access Only
Currently, members see the Wild Apricot assigned User ID in their profile. I understand why it's important for the database, but showing it to the members is confusing for them, especially for organizations whose members already have a different type of ID #. First Name is a system field too, but it has the option "For administrator access only." Please add this option to User ID. Currently the only way to hide it is using CSS to set the display to none, but I cannot target the row for User ID in the Privacy area where members determine what to show others on their profile (there's no unique class or ID for the row). I'd also like to hide Membership Level from the Privacy tab, as I don't want members to share this information.

Ed, thanks for commenting.
I moved your comment to the related thread, exactly about the ID field customization. https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932/suggestions/8825611Katya, Astra crew

I'd like to see our own membership numbers vs. the system ID as well. However, I'd like it set up to have a system option to automatically increment my member's Club ID# (say by 1 or 5 or 10 or ?) and not allow the user to edit it. Let the user display it or not in Privacy settings. Let Admin override the entry if needed. It's a nice way to see how many members join over a period of time - avg. per month, year, etc. when a I do a data extract.

Hello Katya, thanks for your response. That is a decent workaround for the second part. Although ideally, fields that are locked would have their row removed from the front-facing Privacy page altogether.
Side note: I'm hiding the Membership Level from users on the Profile tab too because we enter all our users manually and the levels are names that make sense for admins, but might confuse members. This is a separate issue though (e.g. maybe have the ability to give a nickname to Membership Levels that's visible to the members, and a different name/description for admins).

Liz, thanks for sharing.
Your case with User ID field looks clear and logical, at first glance don’t have any conflicts to add this option.
About 'Membership level' field. I think you can use the following workaround: on Privacy settings page select ‘No access option’ and Lock this field for changes. So all members will not be able to share it.
