Polls – for collecting member feedback and voting (e.g. elections)
Current situation
Polls are not supported, an external tool must be used (e.g. wufoo.com)
Desired
The ability to create polls that can be sent to members
Hello, dear supporters!
We’re happy to announce that now the Polls feature is available for all our clients.
Thanks for participating in beta-testing, valuable comments, kind words and positive feedback!
We already created several threads based on your comments (more than 10!), you can find them by “poll” keyword: https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist?query=poll
Have a great day!

At the moment we are testing the functionality by ourselves and are going to open it for beta-testing at the end of the March. After that it will be released for all.

Is ETA still March 31? Our women’s giving circle members vote on grants in early May. We’d sure like to be able to use this feature then. Any chance to join the alpha group given our deadline is looming? Thank you.

Hi - just checking in to see if this is still on track for end of Q1 (i.e. end of March, aka "this month"). What's the word?

Ability to send polls/questionnaires

Hopefully the ability to email a poll or question (similar to an event RSVP) will be included rather than pointing the member to a site page.

Hopefully this product comes available sooner rather than later. With the upcoming price increase and knowing that most people purchase Wild Apricot because of member services, having the ability to conduct online polls would serve all of us very well and add a perk that comes along with the hefty price increase.

Where can I find information on the functionality of the new feature that will be released? Any update on the timing of the release?

It would be nice to see the real thing. We have used events and create a custom event form with the questions. Works well , no-one seem to mind if it is labelled as an event and the 'register'. Probably because they general react to an email.
However it is the same with events - uses should be able to log back in and edit their registration (or in this case survey answers).

Our organization wants to do move our annual photography competition online and provide our members with the ability to vote for favorites in several categories. It would be great if the new feature provides for this and is delivered in Q1 2018.

We have used events before to conduct polls. Maybe not ideal, but it works.

This would be very beneficial especially for us as a Chamber of Commerce

We need the ability to select more than one candidate from a slate - for example the ability to vote for two people from a slate of five candidates.

One purpose of voting for our site is implement a photo contest and allow voting on favorite photos.
Just another USE CASE for your consideration.

We would like to use this for electing our board of directors. We have four regions and each member votes for one regional representative from a (region-specific) slate of regional representative candidates. We would prefer that each member automatically see the candidates for their specific region (which we would need to assign per member). A viable workaround would be for the poll to ask the member what their region is and then display the candidates for that region. Thank you for your time and help!

@Trisha – Unfortunately we had to push the release to end of Q1 2018. But this is still a high priority feature, so we're actively working on it to make sure that happens.

From the WA Team CMS this feature was to be made available October-ish? Is it only available to certain level WA subscribers?

Having some way to hold a vote online, where each member only gets one vote would be really nice to have.

In our annual board member elections, each member votes for 6 people from the slate of candidates. Each voting member will need to be restricted to voting once, but have the ability to vote for a specified multiple or maximum number of candidates depending on the set up preference.

When alpha testing is available, I would like to be included. This should be a priority since most organizations have elections!

I'd like WA to offer a feature that allows us to have elections with ballots that are only available to our members. They would have to log in but their responses would be encrypted in such a way as not to be able to know who the voted for, nor allow for a member to vote more than once. Thank you.
