You can tag “HOT” items with some tag and then put several catalog gadgets on the same page.
In the top catalog gadget, you can show only items tagged with you specific tag, and in another gadget show all the rest.
Does this solve a problem? An error occurred while saving the comment Nope, no plans so far.

An error occurred while saving the comment @Felix, This is exactly what this thread is about - ability to accomodate different durations and pricing options in the same level instead of making separate levels for each duration/price.

An error occurred while saving the comment We always have to carefully balance development of new features with "internal" technological improvements as well as business needs. That's why some features have to wait to get it's turn, even for several years.
I'm sorry for bad experience here, but it is what it isAn error occurred while saving the comment Sorry, no ETA here. Check our roadmap for any news: http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Product+roadmap

Sorry for inconvenience
An error occurred while saving the comment We have finished design and want to share progress with you. We have redesigned email settings and extended subscription options for event announcements and email blasts as well. See details in presentation below.
Managing forum subscriptions hasn’t been assigned any of releases yet, but you can always track current progress in our Roadmap thread http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8827717-roadmap-2015-plans-releases-expected-dates
An error occurred while saving the comment We have finished analysis of this wishlist thread and related issues. Here’s a short summary of it:
Currently Wild Apricot doesn’t have any ways for administrators to subscribe members to forums and/or distinct topics, only member himself can do this. This is very limiting, e.g. in initial Wild Apricot account setup.
We are planning to
* - Add new Email Settings page, which will allow administrators to:
* Setup default forum subscriptions for new contacts
* Bulk subscribe existing contacts to forums
* - Extend Email settings page in Contact details to allow subscribing to forum topics
* - (most likely) Add similar subscription settings for subscription sourcesHere’s a list of things we are not going to do in scope of this thread:
* Subscribing new contacts/bulk subscriptions to distinct forum topics
* Export/import of forum subscriptions.
* Searching and measuring forum activity. Please leave your comments for this feature here.We are working on exact design now and will be back when it’s ready. Please leave your comments and ideas meanwhile.

Collecting comments now.
An error occurred while saving the comment Hi,
Thanks for help suggestion, but we don't allow others to view/change our sourcebase.
As for your situation - I completely understand it, and as of now I could only suggest creating duplicate several events instead of single multi-session event. An error occurred while saving the comment We have a bunch of other features on our plate - and we have to balance which ones to address first.
As for this particular improvement - we don't have immediate plans to address it in upcoming year. Sorry about this -

For now, this is not something we’re going to change – not sure if ever.
Workaround to use: create a special “entry” free level to apply to, and close “normal” ones for application. For the entry level, create also a dropdown field where a potential member can choose a level they want to apply to. Add other fields you need to assess the application. When application is successful, your admin is to change membership level to required one and generate membership invoice (membership upgrade invoice). The member will be emailed with the invoice and can pay.An error occurred while saving the comment No progress here so far.
As of now, I would suggest asking new applicants to issue an invoice, but not pay it until application is approved.
This will require a bit more manual work for communicating with new members, but otherwise will do the job -

An error occurred while saving the comment This is quite specific situation. I would suggest to run advanced search before event start to find members registered for event and having status lapsed or suspended.
After that you can process such registrants manually. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for posting this out.
Indeed, right now such kind of requests are not available.
Better way to do this would be to subscribe to new registrations webhooks. See our API documentation for more details -

An error occurred while saving the comment This will be addressed when we implement DMARC support for Wild Apricot emails. This is on our radars now, but no exact plans.
I'll post updates about it as we have any -

An error occurred while saving the comment Clint, following up your comment:
1. ...Most levels will have a renewal policy of 1 year? 1 quarter? not a few days.
- Imagine when all levels have renewals at Jan 1st (quite typical for Wild Apricot users). In this case when member upgrades on Dec 25th, his new level will be available only until Jan 1st, whilst he/she has paid for the full year.2. The reason I voted on this topic has to do with invoices and "pending-renewal"....
- This is a separate topic about this in our wishlist (https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932/suggestions/37762123). Hopefully, we will address this too.3. ...I would argue that his Sept 1, 2020 to Jan 1, 2021 dues would be (($36*(1/3) [new level pro-rated]) - (($24*(1/3) [old level pro-rated])) = $4. Correct with your proposal? Now if they are down-grading from silver to bronze they would have a credit of $4.
- You're right about upgrade calculations, as for downgrades - no automatic refunds here.4. For my organization we are based on "join date" - not a fixed renewal date.
- Your assumptions for levels with renewals on join date are correct, we're planning to behave the way you described. An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for comments, DeeDee,
Let me confirm your example:
1. One year membership is active from Jun 1st 2020 to Jun 1st 2021
2. Member changes level in May 2021 to 3 year membership from Jun 1st 2021 to Jun 1st 2024 that costs 70$In this case it seems reasonable to pay for the whole 3 year membership AND renew till Jun 1st 2024, which is conflicting with your new members policy.
What do you think, if we make separate configurable pro-ration settings for level change - will it work for you? E.g.
1. Don't prorate membership level change
2. Instead, charge full regular level fee and extend renewal one additional period starting 1st MayAlso, what is the bigger concern? Losing $ or that new level privileges will be available in May, not June?

An error occurred while saving the comment This seems to be an issue with implementation. Will try to fix this ASAP
You could use custom CSS on specific pages to customize appearance of widgets. Unlikely we will implement any widget specific customizations anytime soon
