Could this please be merged with "Allow 0 and Negative Price in Extra Cost Items" - https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/19709806-allow-0-and-negative-price-in-extra-cost-items?tracking_code=4a14a2a09553145b4a4e8606caf1f75a
And please consider the relatively modest resources needed to implement this, compared to higher priority requests for massive changes or new features.

This easy* change could solve a number of problems, especially if the price calculation were not shown for zero cost.
1) It would allow discounts - e.g., Number of attendees x cost, and then Number of members included in that x discount.
2) After a deadline, I want to switch from a prepay online price to a higher pay at the door price, but not generate an invoice. Setting the cost to 0 would do that, but the system won't let me.
* - (I know, Evgeny - nothing is easy. But this is easier than most requests.)

And if the cost amount could be zero, we could use this for the numeric-only field we need but don't have.

We find the invoices a mixed blessing. The nag popup for events and renewals is useful. We can print out a registration list to use at the door to see who still needs to pay.
But we don't do our bookkeeping in WA, so it would be helpful to be able to just void out all invoices in an event, or better yet, have them automatically void themselves after the event.
And please, please - an option to never email an invoice to a member. It's just noise to them, and the more useless emails they get, the less likely they are to read the ones we want them to.
This goes for both events and membership renewal, although I think there's a way to avoid the email in membership.

It just worked for me.
I don't know why, but the session number has never showed in our Upcoming Events gadgets. But when I added a new UE gadget, it was there. And when I added this global javascript, it went away.
We're using Skyline Downtown theme, if it matters.

Looking at this further - if an organization chooses not to enable this policy, non-paying members will still be blocked from registering once their status becomes Lapsed.

We are trying to implement the online renewal process. Our members remain in good standing for two months past the renewal date.
So for us this is a bug. As is, we simply can't use member-only registration at all from the date we send out the invoice until we drop unpaid members.
The renewal process needs to accommodate organizations with policies like ours and Ines's.
Unfortunately it's not simple, because other organizations may want to prevent registration until renewal dues are paid. This needs to be an option for each organization.
(Where to put it is unclear. Maybe on the Settings | Events page, which now has no settings.)

Even though it is not a direct implementation, I hope this could be helpful:
We just launched integration with Integromat platform, which helps to build automated workflows. We also provide several templates for quick start, and one of them allows to copy google calendar events into WA events. So if you share a google calendar for events submission, then the scenario could copy submitted events into your Wild Apricot account.
You can try this integration by this link https://www.integromat.com/en/integration/2275-copy-google-calendar-into-wild-apricot-eventsWalt Bilofsky supported this idea ·

The following fields should be available in the Directory gadget:
Member since
Renewal due
Membership level
Last login
Balance
Total donated
Subscribed to emails
Event announcements
Member emails and newslettersSome of these would obviously only want to be used on limited access pages.
And perhaps the title of this item should be more general: Additional fields available in Directory gadget.

We want Pending - New members to be able to register for events while awaiting the formality of Board approval. They no longer can, since the feature https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8827963-do-not-allow-event-registrations-for-members-in-pe was introduced in March 2017.
This could be fixed by creating a new status "Pending - Trial" which has membership privileges. In the membership level, specify the number of days after which it automatically converts to "Pending - Renewal" and goes into the renewal process.
The online application would need a configuration to set whether the applicant could apply for a trial or regular membership, or both.
If the trial member renews, the membership would not convert from Pending to Active until the conditions:
o Membership applications must be approved by administrator
o Payment has to be received in full before membership is activatedare satisfied, if they are checked in the New Applications workflow settings for that Level.

This would help us. We use a blog gadget on our home page to publicize upcoming events. We can order them by changing the post date.
It would be great to be able to set a delete date so an event disappears right after it happens.

WORKAROUND: it is possible to set different colors using custom javascript. See section “Color coding events using event tags” at
https://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Event+tags#Eventtags-colorcodingColorcodingeventsusingeventtagsAn error occurred while saving the comment Walt Bilofsky commented
Can this script be used to change the colors of the event text, by changing "background-color" to something else?
It is such a big help to us, I keep trying to make it even better. :)

I am so grateful for this workaround, but am coming across more limitations. If there is more than one tag for an event, it uses the default color.
It would be great if you could suggest a change to the javascript that would use one of the tags if there are more than one, and/or will cope with a space in the tag name.
If not, perhaps the help page should mention these limitations.
With or without changes, this has so improved the ability of our calendar to emphasize and communicate events to our members.

I don't think this works if there is a space in the event tag name. Just pointing it out - it was not a problem for us to work around.
Our calendar looks so much more organized now. Thanks!

And the crowd goes wild! :)
Liz, you wanted a color-coded key under the calendar. You can put the key in a Content Gadget right under the Event Calendar Gadget.

Regarding Javascript, see my comment below. If event tags could be made available for custom Javascript, we could pay a third party developer to implement this for us. Without that internal modification, the cost would be ten times as much and out of our price range.

Below someone (presumably WA staff) said "... but perhaps you could create some custom javascript. You can contact our partners who can help you with this customization."
I did talk to a partner who said that the event tags are not available to javascript in the event calendar month view. Are they missing something? Or could this be made available with not too much effort?
Thanks for any help you can provide in enabling a workaround to provide this very useful feature.

Update: When our domain moves to WA, you can still see our old calendar format at http://g.tyc.org/events.html . Go back to Sept. 2015 or earlier to get the full effect.
It is really too bad that the WA calendar is so homogeneous. We are reduced to using lower case and parentheses to differentiate events.

Yes, please.
We've been using the free Calcium calendar http://www.tyc.org/events.html for over 10 years now. Our members are used to seeing the color coding.
There is a membership field type Multiple Choice with Extra Charge. If it accepted negative dollar amounts, it could be used for this.
More generally, I suggest all extra charge fields, including event registration forms, allow negative dollar amounts so that discounts can be specified.
