An error occurred while saving the comment Nina Cavanagh commentedI know this must be possible because my Admin dashboard lists my top 5 "Most active members". Wherever this is coming from - just to be able to click on the heading to get a full report for all members must be the work of minutes for the clever people at WA! Similarly, there is a "Longest time since last updated" table with the top 5 oldest pages with dates. It would be great to have a similar report with page hits with the option to EXCLUDE us poor busy Admins!
Google Analytics is ... um ... highly diverting but is quite hard to extract these simple but rather crucial things.

An error occurred while saving the comment Nina Cavanagh commentedI hope there is somewhere a request under this subject to restrict Event Managers to their own event AND not allow them to touch the financials. Currently, an Event Manager has the same powers as our Treasurer - (who has to be a Donations Manager ???) which is extremely annoying to our Treasurer and potentially open to the Event Manager perpetrating fraud.

An error occurred while saving the comment Nina Cavanagh commentedYou may be able to solve this by using tags.
I want to be able to just see events by the year - so by adding a tag 2018, 2017 or whatever, I can set the events gadget to just show by the year tag. It means going back through all the events to add the year but it is one way. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Nina Cavanagh commentedI've solved this by creating a Public template and a Member template. Public template: Put the top menu items with Join and Who We Are and stuff members don't want in the menu plus a single menu item: Members. Make the "Members" page and all sub pages for members only by setting the permissions.
Member template: Choose the menu option of "subpages under top level ..". Make the "Member" page the starting page when members log in.
This way, the public and the members get a totally separate experience.Nina Cavanagh supported this idea · -

There is no Financial Admin type - so for our Treasurer, I made him Donations Manager. Bit of a misnomer as we don't do Donations. But at least he's got less rights than a full Admin.
Over all, WA falls down with its rather blunt approach to security. This is such an important area, I'm disappointed it's so poorly implemented.
