Allow admin to define multiple sender emails and use them across the system
We've had a number of similar ideas - allow administrators to setup multiple "from" emails addresses (sender email) and use them in various scenarios like email blasts, event reminders, membership emails, etc. Currently all emails are sent from single FROM email, defined at Settings > Your Account > Organization Details > Email Settings
I merged all posts together so we can address them together properly. Quotes from some of original posts and comments:
"To avoid all site-related emails coming from a common sender, and risking email fatigue for our members, it would be terrific if one-off and system emails had a feature to customize the "From" email field to be someone's personal address, or even just a different alias. This would allow emails for specific purposes (e.g., particular forums or events) to come from an appropriate contact rather than our entire organization, which is less likely to be read."
"We would like to have an additional "From email for events", so that events would come from that address instead of the "From email" used everywhere."
"We would like to create additional emails associated with the *******.org domain through WA, so that our organization's officers have org-specific addresses they can send emails to other members from. Thank you!"
"We have various committees (governance, event planning, membership, public relations, and financial), each of which has its own email address. The committee chair and secretary sometimes each have their own email address. We would greatly appreciate having membership-related messages (membership application, invoices, confirmation messages) go to the membership committee email address, and event-related messages (registration, payment) go to the event planning committee address."
Merged together several closely related by meaning ideas – so we can properly resolve them all together, in different live scenarios

Thanks so much for combining these & starting the work on the "From" issue! Much appreciated.

Currently, we can only designate one WA domain-specific email address - for us, it's admin@ergies.org. In addition, it functions only as a recipient email.
We would like to create additional emails associated with the ergies.org domain through WA, so that our organization's officers have org-specific addresses they can send emails to other members from. Thank you!

Yes, would really appreciate this.

This request can be combined with: "Allow admins to change the "From" email address", which is very similar.

Yes, please, please!!! As soon as possible. This is #1 on our wish list - it's critical to our marketing strategy. Thank you!!

Yes, this would be great - we would definitely like to be able to do this.

Yes please - allow us to specify a FROM email address from the membership system emails (and other system emails) that is different from the site administrator. For larger memberships this is a huge pain to have to forward all the emails that are replied to the site admin when they should be going to the membership person or to another person responsible for that content area.

+1.
From Email and Contact Email fields should be specifiable for every WA-generated type of email, including membership notifications.
The email recipient should feel they are getting the email from a role-specific person. It's hard to get people to open emails. Every bit of personalization helps.
The webmaster should not be loaded down with the job of handling and routing all replies.

Request: Have the ability to define a Reply To email for the automatic membership renewal emails.
How it works now: On the organization page, there are fields for From Email and Contact Email. But these apply to all automatic renewal emails unless changed.
How I'd like it to work: I'd like it to work just like it does on an email blast, where I can specify the Reply to email uniquely as I create a new email.
Benefit: Like most organizations, we have different people responsible for different tasks. We'd like any replies to, say, for example, a renewal reminder, to go to our membership chair, not to the webmaster whose name is on the original message.

(I was answering first comment initially, but I understand what you mean in general. Still, I'll have to keep it here for now, until we have time to properly analyze the problem. My current thinking is more about redesigning our email system and resolve it all together - kind of http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8826730-customize-all-emails-sent-from-wa-using-centralize

I'm not sure I understand quite what you're saying here. The issue is not the "From" email, it's the reply-to email. Right now, there is only one "Contact Email" line in the admin settings, which is where all replies to messages are sent, regardless of whether it's an event, membership, or other question. Wild Apricot has done an awesome job of creating an email routing structure for receiving copies of system emails that allows for people with different roles (who all have different, non-Wild Apricot email addresses) to receive different emails - we just want the same functionality for routing email replies. Thanks for considering!
Edit - I re-read the posts above, and I see where the "From" email piece is coming from now, I apologize for my misunderstanding. But would a routing system on the backend be possible that would allow different reply-tos, depending on blast email being sent? (So ideally, we'd be specifying from a drop-down list of admin emails, e.g., when we edit the template.)

The problem is that From email cannot be anything - it has to be on the same domain as the running site, otherwise if our mail server try to send it, it can be considered as a spam and Wild Apricot mail server will get into spam filter.
But will take this into account in our future analysis.

I second this - and it's related to my wanting a membership reply-to field, too. Having the option to just edit the "From" field for the different types of communication would be an excellent solution!

It's not always possible to change "from" email (there are limitations on how "from" email should be formed), but we can think about changing "reply to" (same as it done in the Organization settings screen). Would it be the same for you?
But anyway, I would also like to here if there are other people missing this kind of ability.

I agree - as an admin that gets all the random questions and bounce-back emails that should be directed to the person on behalf of whom the message was sent!

Yes, this would be most useful. Some of my associations have a dedicated admin assistant or director whose job it is to send out email blasts on behalf of various officers or committee heads, but they want the emails to be 'from' the officer, not 'from' the admin assistant.
In addition, the system emails for membership renewals does not allow us to specify the 'from' address either which causes them to be from the site administrator email. When recipients reply to these emails with questions or whatever, the reply goes to the site admin instead of the membership chairperson (even though we've specified the membership chair's email address in the "Routing of system emails" settings for membership emails.) I will add this as a separate request since it's a little off-base for this topic.

I've been digging around finding various related posts. There have definitely been some steps taken on this it seems, but there are also still issues. We need membership emails to go out from the membership chair - it makes no sense for our members to see them as coming from me (although I'm the person in charge of the WA set up as well as the financial person and therefore my address will remain as the main contact). I've left other comments and posts around, but however it can happen (preferably as a "From" option rather than a reply-to, now that I've thought about it, though), would be great!

For paid account you can setup your own "from" email in Organization details page - see http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Organization+details

From what I can tell this hasn't been addressed completely in the upgrade. Specifically we would like to be able to customize the "from" field for any and all emails (ie system generated as well as singular).
Thanks.
