Old design proposal, not working on it yet and can be changed if we start working on it – https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0f9kMyQqlBsZ3FQOWRiMERRNkk/view?usp=sharing

An error occurred while saving the comment Alumni Group commentedThe design looks great - just what we need!
But, I'm disappointed not to see this on the roadmap for Dec. or Q1. Forums are pretty much lifeless without this feature. Please put it onto the roadmap as soon as possible. thanks!
An error occurred while saving the comment Alumni Group commentedHooray! Esp. looking forward to:
- Bulk subscribe existing contacts to forumsWhen will this be rolled out?

Merged together several closely related by meaning ideas – so we can properly resolve them all together, in different live scenarios
An error occurred while saving the comment Alumni Group commentedEven if the FROM email address has to remain the same, being able to edit the FROM name that appears on a given email would be a big improvement for marketing purposes.

An error occurred while saving the comment Alumni Group commentedUp to 46 votes on this feature! I'd really like to see this get onto the Roadmap soon - email is the primary way we communicate with our members and improvements can't come soon enough.
An error occurred while saving the comment Alumni Group commentedThanks so much for combining these & starting the work on the "From" issue! Much appreciated.
An error occurred while saving the comment Alumni Group commentedThis request can be combined with: "Allow admins to change the "From" email address", which is very similar.

Please review results of our analysis and design:

An error occurred while saving the comment Alumni Group commentedGlad to see this at the design stage! (and hoping to see it on the Roadmap in early 2016 - this is critical to active Forum participation)
The design currently posted is pretty limited in detail. I would second the comments from Walt & Kim re having admin ability to choose the reply default. I'd also like to emphasize the importance of being able to customize the From line, as mentioned in my earlier comment.
Are these features included in the design?
An error occurred while saving the comment Alumni Group commentedThe "From" line deserves some discussion. It would be great if the Admin who is setting up each forum could choose from the following, depending on circumstance:
- Organization Name, or
- Forum Name, or
- Sender's nameIn the case of something like a job board, one might choose the sender to be "Group Job Board".
In the case of a discussion forum, one might choose the sender to be the names of the individual people who are posting to the forum. (i.e., people receiving the posts immediately would see the name of a person in the From line; those receiving a digest would see something like Group Discussion Forum in the From line)

We would like to be able to set up email lists for teams and sub-groups of members that are usable by non-administrators - e.g., TeamA@domain.org, TeamB@domain.org 1995cohort@ergies.org .
Our only option right now is for these teams to create out-of-system email listservs (e.g., google groups) - which are then not updated when people update their information in Wild Apricot.
thanks,
Alumni Group

An error occurred while saving the comment Alumni Group commentedEvgeny mentioned that this is "very easy to change" - so perhaps this item could be combined with one of the other forum-related changes that are farther along in the process - e.g.,
- Managing email subscriptions to forum updates (for which this issue is relevant because people will unsubscribe if the default frequency doesn't match the nature of the forum)
An error occurred while saving the comment Alumni Group commentedAgreed - the Admin should be able to set the default frequency for each forum.

Merged several posts together, so that both public and admins lists can be customized. This is better for analysis and design to work on them together.

We love the ability for members to see who is attending our upcoming event, but we would like to change the fields that are shown in the list. By default, the list shows name & date of registration, with names listed in order of registration date.
We would instead like to show name and class year (one of our profile fields) and to have the list appear sorted by class year, or at least alphabetically. (Date of registration is irrelevant to our users.)
Thanks for adding this to the WishList,
Alumni Group

I understand from your website that you perform daily back-ups, but that these back-ups are not available to clients. (https://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Backing+up+your+data )
Is there a reason why it's not possible to offer site or data restoration for a one-time fee to those who find themselves in the situation of needing it? Please consider making such a service available.thanks!

Our organization really needs this functionality and the design looks great! Plenty of time has passed for collecting comments. Please put this on the Roadmap for implementation.
