Is there a simple way to convert the "member since" column to a sortable date field after exporting to excel? Due to the field settings, I can't just select the column and convert it to a different date format.

Question for anyone now. I use Excel 2013 on my PC to open the xml file as a spreadsheet.....that works fine. But on my android I can't find an app to open the xml file as a spreadsheet. Tried Sheets, Quickoffice and Office Mobile....none will open the xml file. Anyone know an app that works?
Thanks,
Greg

when your system cannot read the xml export, is this what everyone is getting?

We are a small membership organization and most of our nonprofit board members are non familiar with the XML format. Would like to see this exporter support .xls and .csv. Seems like a lot of people are asking for it.

Except i dont think the CVS exports from SQL include the passwords or hached phrase either.

But keep in mind that most SQL databases do have an option to export to CSV so there is no reason you couldn't just use our regular CSV import to import your membership data (including their passwords).
See "Passwords" under http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Import+field+guide

No SQL database, correct.

I dont suppose there is a way to import an existing SQL database? I hate to have to start over collecting new passwords from membership!

We usually do not give updates on the possible release date - too many factors that can change this date. But I can tell, that we made thorough analysis and design and the feature is ready for development. There are good chances for next year.

I have many clients using a older versions of Excel. Having the ability to export to CSV would be very beneficial. Any updates on when this feature may be added?

This discussion seems to have been running for several years, when can we expect to have ability to export contacts etc as CSV, XLS, ODS etc as well as the ability to select which fields to export

Please provide something OTHER than the proprietary MS Excel XML format!
Like: XML, CSV, XLS, JSON, tab-delimted, etc….
-
Tyler Barnett commented
PLEASE provide export in some (or all) of these formats:
XML, CSV, XLS, JSON, Tab-delimited
Any of these would be better than the proprietary Excel XML/XLS format of today.
