Allow to set specific sending time for automatic event emails
I would like to have the ability to modify the event notification email reminder time. As currently designed, the notification goes into the queue 30 minutes before meeting time. This doesn't mean it goes out at that time so members are getting the email 9-12 minutes after that, whichi gives a 20 minute notice. The reason we put an event reminder on the day of the event is so people don't forget it and ensure it's part of their daily schedule. This 20 minute notice does not do that especially considering our meetings go out to members across the community and all have to drive to the meeting location. By the time this notice goes out, for those that remember, they have already left, for those that have forgotten, 20 minutes isn't enough time to get them there on time.
To resolve this I would like to see the ability to modify the time so I can adjust the time the notice is sent out, or if that is not feasible, at least give a one hour notice.

It would be extremely helpful to be able to set the time on the scheduled emails for events. All of our members are business people and I would like to be able to send the emails in the early morning as opposed during the middle of the day or as in our holiday party late evening. Very frustrating.

PRE-SCHEDULE EMAILS WITH TIME. I would love to see WA give customers the option to pre-schedule emails with a time other than when the event starts. Currently emails go out at the time an event starts. Sometimes I have events that start in the the late afternoon which is not a good time to send an email, at the end of the day. I would like to have the option and pre-schdule in advance to send it out earlier. It's especially helpful if you are on meeting or away and don't have to physically be in front of a computer to send out the email at a specific time. This is a disadvantage to Wild Apricot. Constant Contact continues to dominate the email marketing service but will give them competition if Wild Apricot gets in the game.
Look forward to your feedback.
Thank you,

We have over 500 members and many with Roadrunner and AOL accounts. Because of the time of day sent, many notices get rejected as spam. It would relieve the problem if we could specify a middle of the night delivery for automated notices. Manual notices will not work as we have way too many events.

It will be great to have this. Being at the machine to launch the announcements and reminders at a good time of the day is not always possible. Takes the automation advanage away.

Repeatedly, we've seen our Automatic Event Announcements go out at midnight, eastern time. (We are located on the US East Coast, and WA is in our time zone.) That's a terrible time to send most emails. If an event has a start time, its announcements go out at that hour on the day schedule ... and 8 p.m. isn't a great time to send, either.
Either send emails at optimal hours (dayparts), or state your sending policy clearly and up-front. Optimal times vary by organization, industry and message, but generally 10 a.m or early afternoon are best. Far better, anyway, than the middle of the night!

Hi WA,
We also run a number of evening events and have just brought on another client who will run lots of them. Whilst I appreciate you can't necessarily schedule to send at a specific time (although I think we all understand that the emails go in a queue and take a few hours to send), the option to send in the morning or afternoon at least would be great. Sending an announcement at 7:30pm and having it take several hours to go out really limits our registrations on those events because they are business related so we find we have to diarise to send the events on the best schedule. Across our firm we can be running 15 events a month and not using the scheduling process means we're using productive time less productively.
Thanks

I would like to be able to set my emails to be sent out at the date and time I specify. For instance I would like to run an email set for a specific date and then a specific time.

Schedule specific time for event Announcement eblasts to be delivered other than the default event time.

Yes. I need to specify the time of the reminder, as well.
Also-need to specify the time to end a ticket-type... instead of 1 day out, I want to end ticket sales 1 hour out from my event.

Recommend that there is the ability to send event reminders to mobile (cell) phones and also if there is the option to send event reminders with designated times not just nominate the day?

Could we please have some more flexibility in timing of event announcements & reminders rather than just a number of days before. E.G. I like to send emails in the morning but if we have an event starting at 7 pm I can only schedule the announcements to go out at the same time.

I would also like to see this feature. This feature is the biggest thing I miss since switching out organization away from ConstantContact. We always wanted our emails sent out at 12:05am so that our emails were the first emails in someone's inbox when they arrived at work the next day.

Currently, there seems to be no way to specify the time of day when event email blasts is run. (see http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Event+emails )
As a result, when the event is to take place in the evening, event emails are sent out in the evening as well. This is not a great idea, since some people do not emails after work. So, in addition to automate event email blasts by specifying how many days in advance they are to be sent, it would be nice if the user can specify what time of day as well.

Fred,
Thanks for posting - though for now I doubt this is feasible. Email is not a very reliable medium in terms of timely delivery, due to server loads on our side and/or recipients side actual time from initiating the sending to delivery can be in pretty broad range.
Nevertheless, maybe there is another way to improve in this are - e.g. send a few hours (2-4) before, etc.
I would appreciate comments from other users.
