Capability to transfer member credits to another
It would be nice if we could also "settle" a member credit to another member/contact account. We get requests sometimes from members to use their credit to pay another member's invoice (may be a spouse or friend). It would be great if we could do that with a "settle" to another account as an option, rather than just invoices.
You can change "Invoiced to" for unpaid invoice. This way you can pay for someone else event registration or membership application.
It's more correct than directly transferring funds from one payee to another.
Would it be any different or easier to transfer the balance to a different member/contact account or change who the recipient of the invoice is so that the balances can match and payments and invoices can be settled?
I'm not sure what this does from the standpoint of financial controls and generally accepted accounting practices.
Unfortunately, this is very difficult to implement in the current WA financial model - invoice and payment has to belong to the same person.
I would be glad to here more comments on that question.
