Text (SMS) communications with attendees, members, etc.
I did not see this on the wishlist in the list of 339, unless i missed it :).
SMS (text) notication option would be great to have as alot of our members use texting on their phones. Email works good too but push text woould be great to have as an option for communication. Thanks.

commentedSo I'm not looking for an SMS platform from W.A. necessarily, but does anyone have a system in place that is semi/fully automated and integrated? I'm looking for what others might have in place. We are looking to incorporate text marketing either before the end of the year or early 2018

commentedWe are working with a customer integrating our MMS & SMS services, and expect to have the prototype completed by end of July. If you are interested in our implementation let me know.

commentedOur membership have previously used an internet based, mass communication platform (Viber) to quickly notify participants about short notice changes to events. This has necessitated the maintenance of two separate databases which is prone to errors and omissions. Having the ability to use a singe, user maintained database for a SMS service is of high importance to us and would greatly enhance our communications

commentedWe were excited to use WA as our new membership manager, but not having SMS capabilities give us serious pause. Research clearly shows millennials prefer most communication, like reminders, via SMS (Googe this). Is SMS in WA's plans anytime soon?

commentedI agree this would be a good option. Most people do have email by phone, but looking at a text is just quicker.

commentedI would be glad to see this show up as a notification in the WA mobile app. It would need to trigger a obvious notification (sound, vibrate, visual, slap on the head).

commentedOur need is similar to some of the others, but in a nutshell being able to send an SMS to Event Registrants would greatly enhance our ability to contact them with changes to the Events. For example, if we have to cancel a practice due to weather, some folks might already be in their car on the way to that practice. An SMS can reach them on their phone, whereas an email might not (not all phones have LTE data plans!).

commentedSMS would be a nice addition to email however with the growing number of smart phones in our member base, SMS is really more of a nice to have option. Cost would be an important factor as our club would not want to eat any per message charges given that email is free.

commentedWe need an SMS communications feature as well. I would gladly pay separately as an add-on to our existing contract. The sooner, the better.

commentedBeing able to quickly text people of changes that occur last minute would be an awesome thing! I know more people read/look at texts than they answer the phone.

commentedSMS is vital to the administration of our member benefits. Unfortunately we will have to change our Membership Management provider if this capability cannot be added in the very near future. Text messaging is the preferred method of communication between individuals and is the best way for us to communicate with members. Email is good but texting is better. Please advise

commentedI would be willing to pay for an SMS service on a per-message or package plan.
We have a number of instances where we need to contact our membership on short notice. Email is ok, but SMS or some other instant messaging service is faster and more reliable. I'd guess that more than half of our membership would like to receive a limited set of communications via text. A common use case is cancellation of an event because of weather.
