Scheduled E-mail Blasts
Emails need to be sent manually or scheduled with events reminders or membership renewal notifications.
Have the ability to schedule any email to be sent a specific time.
Hello, dear supporters!
We’re happy to announce that the scheduling feature is now ready for your use!
In this thread there are several suggestions related to this feature. Some of them are covered in this release, some are not. Let’s jump into it.
What is covered:
- Set up an email in advance to go to X list (or single member) on X date at X time
What is partially covered:
- Scheduling a blast after an event has occurred
Simply schedule a manual email blast to the saved list of an event’s attendees after the day of the meeting
- See the schedule of outgoing emails
Emails tab (former Drafts) now has a new filter. If you sort the list to view scheduled emails only, then you’ll see them arranged by the delivery date&time. Thus you can check the order of scheduled emails
What is not yet covered:
- Auto Repeating emails
- Timezone selection (there is a workaround though – check the video below)
What is related to events:
(Some of the suggestions are actually about events announcements and that is a whole another story. No worries, we have them saved)
- schedule more eblasts per event. Three is often not enough
- if an event is duplicated – duplicate the group (of recipients) also
- schedule a blast after an event has occurred (ex. feedback collection)
- SEE the schedule of all the announcements
- send to a segments of a list (e.g, members vs. non-members, vs former members), either to vary the message, or for segmented tracking, or both
- Choose time of the day
- Button Send now should cancel Scheduled message delivery + add a confirmation dialogue

We hope you’ll like it. Please leave your comments below.
Thank you for your patience!
Have a great day!

I would like to schedule a blast after an event has occurred? I usually send out a follow up survey link the day after the meeting, and another with special offers. Why is this not a thing yet?

This is the first database service we have used that does not allow for setting up blasts ahead of time. There are cyclical times of the year that require us to push multiple blasts. Please help!

Allow "Saved Reports" like Membership and others to be emailed automatically on a specific day of the month. Once user configures and saves the report, Wild Apricot automatically emails on specified date, so user does not have to log-in and "RUN" manually.

Would be a big help to us! Save us having to remember all the dates and batching emails.
This is an integral feature I used in my previous email service. I'm really frustrated that I migrated all my contacts so to have everything in one place and find that I can't use this very important feature. Please make this update soon!

Be able to send delayed emials
We want to use our website database for all emails sent to our members, but we need to be able to compose and schedule in advance! This would be an incredible improvement to your already great product!
This would be a huge benefit. We are trying to eliminate our need to keep Constant Contact. If Wild Apricot can replace Constant Contact, it would save us a lot of money. In truth, I am surprised this is not your top priority because I imagine that you could obtain many more customers if you provide a way to communicate with their memberships that is as easy as Constant Contact.
very disappointing that this is not a priority.
I would like to be able to schedule emails to be sent at a set date and time. Constant Contact allowed us to determine the recipients and then set the date and time to send the email.

This would be a huge benefit to our organization. Please consider making this a priority for enhancement. Thanks!

A real shame that your plans have changed as this has been high on my wish list for some time (being able to schedule event notices to go at a time that suits my business instead of the exact time of the event - which btw is a nightmare for evening events is top of my list). My organisation works across 5 time zones and our office is in the latest one, so scheduling notices / eDM's would be a huge benefit.
sorry to hear this, was really anticipating this feature over all others. So Q1 2016 is out of the question?

My organization switched to Wild Apricot this summer. One of the main reasons was your transparency of futures and hitting targets. I sincerely hope that the 'plans changed' are a part of improving hitting the target dates in the future and the transparency to go with it. Our last provider was horrible at giving direction and only got worse at hitting what they did say. It makes it very difficult for customers to plan. I'm not asking for a detailed explanation, but the roadmap has gotten shorter and what was on it seems to be slipping. Any insight to the changes we are seeing would be a help to build/keep confidence. Thanks.
Yes PLEASE! We need this feature! It would streamline our e-marketing and make it much easier to design emails ahead and automate.

Will this allow me to schedule a blast after an event has occurred? I usually send out a follow up survey link the day after the course, and then again 90 days later. It would be wonderful if I could get rid of my calendar reminders and just schedule either one of those.
