Online Forms
Incorporate form design and submission functionality. This would help clubs automate some administrative processes.

I would like a form for members to be able to nominate people for "Professional of the Year", or "Volunteer of the Year".

We use formstack.com to accomplish this very thing. Works well and integrates quite well with Wild Apricot.
wufoo, google forms and typeform are other products. While WA works on the vast amount of feature requests in this forum., this is the approach I'd take.
This is an extremely complex feature request that really would make wild apricot something very different than it is today.

FORMS!!!!!!!!!!!!! A option to create a form. Even something simple as a "contact us" form. There are other times, I want a form for members to fill out their book information so we can capture the data vs. using an old-fashion Word doc.

I would like to create custom forms within the Wild Apricot platform. This would be nice for the purposes of committee interest forms, etc. Third-party forms are fine, but any use of third-party companies is just that -- third-party and outside of the platform -- opening us up to greater chances of data being compromised. Custom forms are a basic tool for Membership-based software and should be included.

I can only reiterate previous comments! The need for an in-house form builder that can be customised according to various usage requirements, is paramount to our clients.

St. Louis Publishers would like a web form that is not part of the registration, too. We want to members to enter their book information and then be able to use the data for an Author page. Right now, we can to copy and paste... it's a slow process.

I would also like to be able to have the ability to integrate stand-alone forms not linked to an event registration. this would be most helpful to the two organizations that I use WA for. Currently I have to use an outside source like jotform or cognito forms to be able to embed a form on a webpage that can then be used to collect data. there are many such platforms available, but they all cost additional money and the data has to be stored elsewhere. hoping that this is near the top of the list for improvements!

You need to enable your customers to build forms without the need of a VERY complicated workaround or by paying a third party to do. I would expect most businesses would want a Contact Us form on their website for their customers.

Couldn't agree more! Need a basic form builder for other functions we need for our organisation, ideally with an upload feature also as we need members to be able to submit pictures and documents. Can't believe it's not an out of the box feature in WA.

We need a form that would allow us to accept payment for lunch or other items.

We need a form that would allow parents to purchase items. For example, our parents pay for lunch for the year. They have several options, but they pay once

Hi,
I agree this should be an out of the box. Even free website builders offer the ability to easily create various forms. I am paying for this and it has taken me 3 hours and I still can't get a Contact form the way I want it here, which is slightly insane since the free web builder I use for most clients I would have this completed within 5 minutes. I really don't understand how this isn't a priority.

Thank you for your post Susan, I've merged it with a similar suggestion that was already on the wishlist.

We are in great need of creating forms other than the currently available Membership/Event/Donation forms.
At present, we have to create such forms as nominations/ballots, volunteer applications, ad/sponsorship purchases, etc. in third-party apps, and this is very awkward.
Thank you!

I use formassembly.com for my various forms and embed those into my WA site. I use FormAssemby because it allows me to both receive individual forms by email but also download a consolidated return in an Excel format. For most purposes this suits me fine and I don't care that WA doesn't provide the same functionality.
It seems I differ from many other members in that I see the sense in the Software as a Service model. It makes much more sense to me for WA to concentrate its efforts on the membership processes that engage with the database. And in that respect my criticism of the WA system is in relation to membership renewal process. It's there that I need either a form filling or file upload function as a necessary stage in membership renewal. I'm referring to tracking continuing professional education and things like professional indemnity insurance as a either a prerequisite for renewal or factors that change the level of membership for the next 12 months.
But in general I think it's more important to have interoperability with other specialist functions like form building. No matter how you design your form builder there's always going to something a member wants that you haven't provided.

Yes for me too! Imbedding external forms like WooFu or JotForm doesn't let you share the data with WA so what doe it do for you ?

I'm kind of surprised that there isn't a "contact" form included in WA... Donations and Registrations, but no "contact us" form?
I wholeheartedly support the request for a form builder.

I would greatly appreciate a form for a customer to make a request for a private party. I would like for that form to be emailed to my group of artists. Then I would like for the artist to be able to accept or decline the private party.
