Simplify Wild Apricot Account Setup
Current situation
When setting up an account for the first time it's difficult to understand what should be setup first, how things are connected and what triggers exist in the system (e.g. emails are sent to members)
Desired situation
Simplify account settings and create a clear tour through the system, that explains what must be setup and how various pieces are connected, without having to study help and or contact support.
In 2109 we made several improvements to help new customers to setup Wild Apricot account, like the Trial guide, updated and improved Getting started content, the content of system emails, and other small changes across the system.

I worked on a break down of the steps we usually follow when helping a customer migrate or get running on Wild Apricot. There are several major smaller projects to make the site come together. There are a few areas that can be automated in particular around defined a default set of custom fields and the standard look and feel/messaging on the home page and color schemes. It would be ideal to have a site look a bit more like your own once you get a trial going (including colors and logo).
The attached breaks down the steps and our estimate time that the configuration takes, and I used "variable" for time when the scope of the task is quite variable.

In my estimate, if you include a test phase, there are about 60+ discrete steps to properly setup a Wild Apricot account. This includes various data, website and configuration options. It is by no means trivial, but a simpler account setup, maybe from a set of "vertical" target segments would be a good idea.
As you all know I have some thoughts on this.

A very good Idea!
And plz find a way to simplify the general look of the mails.
Just to set up each templet to all the automatically generated mail takes forever.Layout/content separation of sort...
