Payment Module/Form to accept arbitrary payments
Payment module just like the Donations Module. Copy the Donations Module and call the copy the Payment module. Members have to pay us sometimes so I tell them to use the Donation module and I will reapply the payment. An example, last week a member added a guest to her already paid $30 event registration. So we had an updated invoice that added $30 for the guest, displayed the invoice for $60, displayed that $30 had been paid and the balance due was $30. Perfect.
But when the member tried to pay it to WA, PayPal blocked it and said "you have already paid that invoice." So I said ok, pay $30 using the Donations module and it was done.

We use the Donations page primarily NOT for donations, but for payments that aren't a membership or an event. For example, to order items such as award trophies.
We would like the ability to change the word "Donations" to something else like "Payments" everywhere it occurs.
For one thing, this would reduce any confusion or possible audit for our members when IRS sees an invoice for "Donations" being written off as a business expense!

Hi, Jessica!
I think your request is more inline with this idea: https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932/suggestions/8825602. However, there's no progress here yet.

I noticed the admin said (about a year ago) that there is still a problem with adding a guest registration later - and for now there is no direct workflow for this.
Is there any fix for this coming? It is a major problem for my group, as we allow members to bring guests, so they consistently want to add/remove guests as their guests' plans change.

The trips our club offer always have a payment schedule. There is no way to allow the participant to make the subsequent payments without reregistering, which then counts as another participant. We did repurpose the Donation Module to act like a Payment Module, so at a minimum this would help. Ultimately, we need the ability for a payment schedule where participants can make additional payments.
This is causing a lot of confusion with our trip participants and some complaints about their follow-on payments being labeled as Donations.

It is possible though to allow multiple payments on a single invoice in your PayPal account settings, see http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/PayPal+account+setup#PayPalaccountsetup-AllowmultiplepaymentsperinvoiceID

You've described an interesting usecase, that we don't support at the moment.
Here are two sides of the problem1) From financial standpoint you shouldn't ever modify PAID invoice - that's not good for accounting. You can issue a manual invoice (Use Finances -> Invoices -> Add invoice button) and your member will be able to pay it online, just as he does donation.
2) There is still a problem with adding a guest registration later - and for now there is no direct workflow for this. Is it the only problem why do you want payments module? Or are there any other scenarios?
Thanks for your post
