Our club is looking at other solutions because of lack of this capability. Wild Apricot has not done anything in the past 2 years, so don't choose WA if this is one of your requirements.

Adding the ability to make a deposit, then followed by subsequent payments would make WA usable for us. (Not Amazing). Very disappointed to not see this on the list.

Our trips are offered with payment schedules. We are only able to allow for an initial payment or a full payment. There is no way to go into the event and make further payments. Creating multiple events to handle this is unacceptable. We really need this capability to make Wild Apricot an acceptable solution for our club.

This was where I was directed to comment, but what our club really needs is to have multiple payments for an event. Our trips are offered with a payment schedule. Right now all we can set up is an initial payment or a full payment. There is no way to go back and make additional payments for a trip. We have repurposed the Donation function, but it does not allow us to tie the payment back to the event. This requires manual tracking of payment, which defeats one of the reasons we purchased Wild Apricot in the first place.

Hello everyone,
I've been working on this idea for a while, and most of you have described the same trap. You need a volunteer to run one or several events, and the only way to let them is to hand over your whole contact database and your finances. But there are different events and different needs. So I'd like to test the shape with you before we build it.
The idea is to maintain the current role of Event Manager, which currently grants access to all events. However, you can also limit this access and assign the person to specific events by choosing from one of three levels of access:
- Check-in assistant - welcome people at the door, handle walk-ins. Sees their assigned events and who's registered. Checks people in, signs up whoever turns up, takes payment at the door. Cannot edit the event or its registrations.
- Registration manager -…

The trips our club offer always have a payment schedule. There is no way to allow the participant to make the subsequent payments without reregistering, which then counts as another participant. We did repurpose the Donation Module to act like a Payment Module, so at a minimum this would help. Ultimately, we need the ability for a payment schedule where participants can make additional payments.
This is causing a lot of confusion with our trip participants and some complaints about their follow-on payments being labeled as Donations.
To Team Payments - addressing the beast of installment payments "later" will probably be too late for our club. We are looking to abandon Wild Apricot in favor of other vendors (Club Express and Sports Engine). This is a MUST HAVE capability for us that Wild Apricot has chosen to ignore for the 2 years we have used your product. Too bad you think this is a "humorous beast".
