Stop adding features, and speed the site up!!!
I can finally close this post… Our recent system updates and moving to Amazon Web Services platform helped us to achieve x3 times performance increase! See more details at https://www.wildapricot.com/blogs/newsblog/2017/07/28/july-update

Hi Guys,
the back end administration speed is horrible.
Sometimes I get time out errors it is so slow.
Any suggestions on how to improve it from my end would be greatly appreciated. -

I think it's better than it used to be.
Except for one issue in particular - I wish you would put back the URL that opens in public view even if last logged into admin view. https://ourclub.org/Sys/Login/SwitchToHome worked for a while and the issue was marked resolved. But Release 6.1 broke it. Now I often try to start on our home page only to stare for 15 - 20 seconds at the rotating disk before I can click Public view.

Is this still a problem? I just got access to a site to fix and it freezes every time I try to even upload a single image. Unreal.
-
Jane, this is not right - can you please contact our support so they can investigate the issue? See http://www.wildapricot.com/wildapricotcontact

Archiving 8k contacts has taken the better part of a business day (more than 5 hours, and counting...). Importing records is also extremely slow, and must be closely monitored because a computer entering sleep mode after a long time is registered as the import being 'stopped by user'. The entire administrative backend is unacceptably slow for an enterprise solution of this magnitude.

Same issue with the Admin site being slow. My internet connection is confirmed on Speedtest.net to be at least 25 Mbps download, 12 Mbps upload, so I know it's not a local problem.

Wow. I thought it was just our web site -- now know that most users are dealing with spinning green circle instead of working! ADMIN is SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. I've been trying to archive some contacts --and gave up every time. I'll come back when the speed improves.

Also finding the admin access slow - even slow to load in admin view when first opening. Was wondering it if was just my computer or security software interaction.

The admin site is unbelievably slow and keeps locking up.

I totally agree that the site is far too slow especially in Admin view and the sooner the better!

We love the features and improvements. Our internet speed is so bad anyway that Wild Apricot isn't running any slower than anything else. :(
Being able to add a guest who is also on our database, though, rocks.

Ouch... that really sucks Northview, we have a team investigating this and hopefully you'll start to see improvements, but unfortunately I can't make any specific promises.
In general we have both infrastructure (servers, networking, etc) and application level improvements that we're investigating/working on.
Thanks for taking the time to post, it really helps to see/hear that users are balancing features vs. performance too.

I agree! I just did 1600 program reservations from the admin side and saw the green spinning circle on. EVERY. SINGLE. CLICK!

FYI, my performance is great, even in Admin view. However, I have a world class business quality WiFi. Have you considered the access technology as part of the issue?
-
Not sure yet, we're trying to investigate.

Performance is very slow when in Admin View. Is anything being done to enhance speed of the application?
